Bukan
Bukan ( fa, بوکان, translit=Bukân, ku, بۆکان, translit=Bokan) is the capital of Bukan County, West Azerbaijan Province, Iran. As of 2016, its population was estimated to be near 193,501 people or 56,000 families. The city is situated east of the Siminarud river. The whole county is populated by Shafi'i Kurds who speak Sorani Kurdish. Etymology The name Bukan derives from the Kurdish word '''brides. However, Rashid al-Din Hamadani wrote that the name was eponymous to a Merkit prince. Only during the Qajar era is the name documented. Beau Mark Bokan (born November 30, 1981) is an American musician and singer best known as the former lead vocalist of Blessthefall, and the former vocalist of Take the Crown. Background On September 26, 2008, Bokan joined Blessthefall as the vocalist to replace Craig Mabbitt, who left the band due to personal differences and later joined Escape the Fate. He has recorded five studio albums with Blessthefall before their breakup in 2022. Personal life Bokan is of half Mexican descent. He married Canadian electro-pop singer Lights on May 12, 2012. On November 4, 2013, the couple announced that they were expecting their first child. On February 15, 2014, Lights gave birth to a daughter. Bokan is Roman Catholic. Dragoslav Bokan
Dragoslav Bokan (, ; born 15 February 1961) is a Serbian film director, writer, politician and former paramilitary commander. Biography Bokan was born in the Savski Venac area of Belgrade on 15 February 1961 to Serb parents Ilija and Milka (née Devetak). Several of his family members (including his maternal grandfather and great-grandfather) were killed at the Jasenovac concentration camp by the Ustashe, as part of an extermination campaign of Serbs during World War II. Bokan graduated from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts at age 22. In 1989, he directed three episodes on Visoki Dečani as part of the documentary series ''Svedoci vekova'' (Witnesses of the Centuries) produced by the broadcasting service RTB. Later that year, he moved to Port Chester, New York and a year later he returned to Serbia. Back in Serbia, Bokan joined the Serbian National Renewal party.
