Boiler Room (music Project)
Boiler Room, a division of DICE, is an online music broadcasting and promotional platform based in London, UK. They commission and stream music sessions around the world. Founded in London in 2010, Boiler Room has now hosted shows in around 100 cities worldwide. It has regular operations in London, Amsterdam, New York City, Berlin, Lisbon, São Paulo, Mexico City, Tokyo, Sydney, Lima and Los Angeles and produces about 30 to 35 new shows each month. Its music programming originally focused on electronic music such as garage, house, techno, dub but eventually expanded to include grime, hip hop, classical, and jazz. According to ''The Guardian'', by 2015 Boiler Room had streamed over 3.5 billion minutes of music, with audiences of up to 400,000 watching. Caribou Musician
Daniel Victor Snaith (born March 29, 1978) is a Canadian composer, musician, and recording artist who has performed under the stage names Caribou, Manitoba, and Daphni. Career Snaith originally recorded under the stage name Manitoba, but after being threatened with a lawsuit by Richard "Handsome Dick" Manitoba (real name Richard Blum), formerly of punk band The Dictators, Snaith changed his performance name to Caribou. Snaith's previous full-length albums were then re-released under the new moniker, and ''The Milk of Human Kindness'' was released in 2005 by Domino. In June that year the album topped the !earshot Campus and Community Radio Top 200 chart. When playing gigs, Snaith usually performs with a live band and plays percussion. Young (formerly known as Young Turks) is a British independent record label that sits in the Beggars Group of labels launched by Caius Pawson in 2006. It has grown from an imprint of XL Recordings into a successful and influential label now partnered with XL and operates across a range of genres. The label's current roster includes The xx, FKA twigs, Sampha, Jamie xx, Koreless and Kamasi Washington. Mount Kimbie is an English electronic music duo consisting of Dominic Maker and Kai Campos.
