Blow Hot, Blow Cold
''Blow Hot, Blow Cold'' ( it, Violenza al sole, also known as ''The Island'') is a 1969 Italian thriller-drama film directed by Florestano Vancini. Plot A complex love story in the setting of a summer holiday in the beautiful islands off the coast of Puglia (Italy). Here we find two couples: an irregular but happy Italian youth pair and the other Swedish, more mature and legal. Gunnar Lindmark is a professor of psychology, while his wife Meret find here a reminiscent of an old extramarital love, ceased because of her lover's death. This crisis triggers jealousy of the professor who kills the Italian guy. Florestano Vancini (24 August 1926 – 18 September 2008) was an Italian film director and screenwriter. He directed over 20 films since 1960. His 1966 film '' Le stagioni del nostro amore'', starring Enrico Maria Salerno, was entered into the 16th Berlin International Film Festival. Knut Gunnar Johanson (13 November 1909 – 24 May 1986) was a Swedish actor known for his frequent work with writer and director Ingmar Bergman. Biography Björnstrand was born Knut Gunnar Johanson in Stockholm as son of actor Oscar Johanson and Ella Mauléon. After his education at the Royal Dramatic Theatre's acting school, he made several appearances in theatre, film and radio. Björnstrand's first collaboration with Ingmar Bergman was the 1941 theatre production of August Strindberg's ''The Ghost Sonata''. His first major film role was in Hampe Faustman's ''Natt i hamn'' in 1943. After signing a contract with Svensk Filmindustri, he was offered mainly parts in comedies, including Bergman's ''Smiles of a Summer Night'' (1955).
