Amable Aguiluz
Amable "Tikoy" Aguiluz VI (born 1952) is a Filipino film director, film producer, screenwriter and cinematographer. In 1999, he founded the Cinemanila International Film Festival in Manila. Aguiluz is one of the leading figures in the alternative cinema movement in the Philippines. Career and education Educated at the University of the Philippines (UP) with degrees in comparative literature and fine arts, he is acknowledged as the co-founder in 1976 of the UP Film Center (now UP Film Institute) where he served as its Assistant Director until 1990, spearheading the association called Chamber Film Group. He was a recipient of a John D. Susan Africa (born August 20, 1959) is a veteran Filipino film, television and theatre actress. The Gawad Urian Awards are annual film awards in the Philippines held since 1977. It is given by the Manunuri ng Pelikulang Pilipino (MPP, "the Filipino Film Critics") and is currently regarded as the counterpart of the United States' New York Film Critics Circle.
