Beverley is a western suburb of Adelaide, South Australia. It is located in the City of Charles Sturt. Geography The suburb is mainly bounded by Port Road, East Avenue, Ledger Road and Grange Road. History Beverley incorporates the formerly separate suburb of York, site of the skin and fertiliser works of Crompton and Sons. Other once important manufacturing businesses of the area were Pope Products Ltd. on Princess Street, Adelaide Potteries Ltd. on Toogood Avenue and a number of independent brickworks. The Beverley Sisters ( MBE) were an English female close harmony pop vocal and light entertainment trio, consisting of three siblings from London. Beverly is an American, Brooklyn-based band that formed in 2013. They began recording their debut LP, ''Careers'', in 2013 and finished in early 2014. It was released on July 1, 2014 on Williamsburg-based Kanine Records. Beverly's original lineup consisted of Frankie Rose and Drew Citron, both from the Brooklyn indie music scene. Rose is a former member of Crystal Stilts, Vivian Girls, and Dum Dum Girls, while Citron is a former member of Avan Lava. They released their first single, "Honey Do", on Gorilla vs. Bear on February 10, 2014, and it was quickly picked up by other notable music blogs such as Pitchfork Media. Beverly (Princess Anne, Maryland)
Beverly is a historic home located at Princess Anne, Somerset County, Maryland, United States. It is a -story, Federal-style, Flemish bond brick dwelling measuring 40 feet by 60 feet. It was built by Nehemiah King II between 1785 and 1796. The interior of the house was partially destroyed by fire in 1937 but was restored from plans. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973. Napoleon rescue plot King became a friend of Jérôme Bonaparte through his marriage in 1803 to Betsy Patterson of Baltimore. The home was included in a plot to rescue Napoleon from exile on St. Helena Island, when plans were made for the Emperor to be transported up the Chesapeake Bay and into the Manokin River, where he was to arrive at Beverly through a tunnel leading under the house from the nearby creek. Beverley, also known as Bullskin, is a farm near Charles Town, West Virginia that has been a working agricultural unit since 1750. The narrow lane that leads from U.S. Route 340 to the Beverley complex was, in the 18th and 19th centuries a toll road. The main house was built about 1800 by Beverley Whiting on the site of a c. 1760 stone house. The house is Georgian influenced Federal style, with a later Greek Revival portico. A number of outbuildings dating to the original 1760 house accompany the main house. History The original land was purchased from Thomas Fairfax, 6th Lord Fairfax of Cameron in 1750 by Richard Stephenson. During the course of the next decade, Stephenson constructed a stone residence, two stone outbuildings, and other farm-related structures and put into operation the farming business that still operates here today. Beverly, Washington, United States, is a small unincorporated community along the banks of the Columbia River in central Washington state. The community, which consists of a few hundred residents, is a few miles downriver from Wanapum Dam and is nestled at the base of Sentinel Gap, a water gap in the Saddle Mountains that predates the Columbia River. History Beverly was named around 1905 by H.R. Williams, after Beverly, Massachusetts. Beverly played host to hundreds of railroad workers from 1905-1920s when the Milwaukee Railroad was being built. The Milwaukee constructed a million-dollar bridge across the Columbia just north of Beverly, which was completed in 1909. Supplies to build the bridge were shipped via steamboat from points upstream, and were hauled in on other rail lines. The bridge took nearly two years to complete.
