Better Ghana Agenda
The term Better Ghana Agenda, is a policy vision, that was used by the former ruling party of Ghana, the National Democratic Congress of Ghana. The term "Better Ghana Agenda" was coined in the year 2007, prior to the 2008 elections, by John Atta Mills, the late President of Ghana because in his view the NPP government had failed to live up to its expectations. They expressed much concern about several shortcomings in the areas of the economy, employment, the environment, health, education, the utilities and many more. National Democratic Congress (Ghana)
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) is a social democratic political party in Ghana, founded by Jerry Rawlings, who was Head of State of Ghana from 1981 to 1993 and the President of Ghana from 1993 to 2001. Following the formation of the Provisional National Defence Council (PNDC), which ruled Ghana following the military coup d'état on 31 December 1981, there was pressure from the international community to restore democracy. The NDC was formed as the ruling party ahead of elections in 1992, in which Rawlings was elected president, and in 1996 Rawlings was re-elected as the NDC candidate. Rawlings' second term ended in 2001. The NDC lost the presidency in the 2000 election, and it was not until the 2008 election, that they regained it with John Atta Mills as its candidate. John Atta Mills
John Evans Fiifi Atta Mills (21 July 1944 – 24 July 2012) was a Ghanaian politician and legal scholar who served as President of Ghana from 2009 until his death in 2012. He was inaugurated on 7 January 2009, having defeated the governing party candidate Nana Akufo-Addo in the 2008 election. He was previously the Vice-President from 1997 to 2001 under President Jerry Rawlings, and he contested unsuccessfully in the 2000 and 2004 presidential elections as the candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC). He was the first Ghanaian head of state to die in office. Early life Mills was born on 21 July 1944 in Tarkwa, in the Western Region of Ghana. President Of Ghana
The president of the Republic of Ghana is the elected head of state and head of government of Ghana, as well as commander-in-chief of the Ghana Armed Forces. The current president of Ghana is Nana Akufo-Addo, who won the 2020 presidential election against former president, John Dramani Mahama, by a margin of 4.23%. He was sworn into office for his second term on 7 January 2021. Environmental Sustainability

The presidency of John Mahama began on 24 July 2012 and ended on 7 January 2017. John became the heads of state of Ghana#Fourth Republic (1993–present), 4th President of Ghana, President of the History of Ghana#Fourth Republic (1993–present), Ghanaian Fourth Republic after he succeeded John Atta Mills who died in office on 24 July 2012.
