Bernard Kamilius Membe (born 9 November 1953) is a Tanzanian politician. He served as a Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tanzania from 2007 to 2015.He also served as a Member of Parliament for Mtama constituency from 2000 to 2015. Early life and education He was educated at Rondo-Chiponda Extended Primary School and Namupa Seminary Secondary School for his O Levels. He attended Itaga Seminary High School for his A Levels. He studied political science at the University of Dar es Salaam and international relations at Johns Hopkins University. He did his national service for one year at Oljoro Military Camp in Arusha Region. Political career Membe served as a national security analyst at the President's Office from 1978 to 1989. Dodoma
Dodoma ( in Gogo), officially Dodoma City, is the national capital of Tanzania and the capital of the Dodoma Region, with a population of 410,956. In 1974, the Tanzanian government announced that the capital would be moved to Dodoma for social and economic reasons and to centralise the capital within the country. Ban Ki-moon (; ; born 13 June 1944) is a South Korean politician and diplomat who served as the eighth secretary-general of the United Nations between 2007 and 2016. Asha-Rose Mtengeti Migiro (born 9 July 1956) is a Tanzanian politician and diplomat who was the Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations from 2007 to 2012. Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete (born 7 October 1950) is a Tanzanian politician who was the fourth president of Tanzania, in office from 2005 to 2015. 2010 Tanzanian General Election
General elections were held in Tanzania on 31 October 2010. The presidential elections were won by the incumbent President Jakaya Kikwete of the Chama Cha Mapinduzi party (CCM), who received 63% of the vote. The parliamentary elections resulted in a victory for the CCM, which won 186 of the 239 elected seats.
