Bengt Erland Fogelberg
Bengt Erland Fogelberg, also known as Benedict Fogelberg, (8 August 178622 December 1854) was a Swedish sculptor. Biography Fogelberg was born in Gothenburg. His father, a copper-founder, encouraging an early exhibited taste for design, sent him in 1801 to Stockholm, where he studied at the school of art. There he came much under the influence of the sculptor Johan Tobias Sergel, who communicated to him his own enthusiasm for antique art and natural grace. Fogelberg worked hard at Stockholm for many years, although his instinct for severe beauty rebelled against the somewhat rococo quality of the art then prevalent in the city. Bengt Göransson (1932–2021) was a Swedish educator and social democrat politician who held different cabinet posts, including minister of culture and minister of education. He also served in the Parliament for two terms between 1985 and 1991. Biography Göransson was born in Södermalm in 1932. In his youth he was a member of the Swedish Social Democratic Youth League. Bengt Gottfried Forselius (''ca'' 1660, Harju-Madise, Harju County, Swedish Estonia – November 16, 1688, Baltic Sea) was a founder of public education in Estonia, author of the first ABC-book in the Estonian language, and creator of a spelling system which made the teaching and learning of Estonian easier. Forselius and Johann Hornung were mainly responsible for making a start at reforming the Estonian literary language in the late 17th century. Some German constructions were abandoned, and a strict spelling system was adopted which still relied on German orthography. Forselius was a Swede born in Estonia. Count Bengt Gabrielsson Oxenstierna (1623–1702) was a Swedish soldier and statesman, who served as Foreign Minister from 1680 to 1697. Bengt Axel Bergt (born 7 May 1982) is a German politician of the Social Democratic Party (SPD) who was elected the member of the Bundestag for Segeberg – Stormarn-Mitte in the 2021 German federal election. Bengt Michael Schalin (7 January 1889 – 9 November 1982) was a well-known garden architect and botanist in Finland during the 20th century. Life Schalin obtained his secondary school diploma in 1907 in Turku and went on to study horticulture in Belgium and Germany, where he obtained a degree in gardening in 1912 from the Köstritz Higher School of Horticulture. Bengt Nordenberg (April 22, 1822 – December 18, 1902) was a Swedish artist. He belonged to the Düsseldorf school of painting and is best known for his genre paintings with everyday life scenes from the Dalarna, Skåne and Blekinge areas of Sweden. He moved to Düsseldorf in the 1850s. Biography Nordenberg was born at Jämshög in Blekinge County, Sweden. He was one of nine siblings born to Per Jönsson Nord (1785-1854) and his wife Sissa Bengtsdotter (b. 1792). He grew up in poverty and became an apprentice to a painter in Sölvesborg. In 1843 he fulfilled his wish to come to Stockholm and study at the Royal Swedish Academy of Arts.
