Beau-père
''Beau Pere'' (french: Beau-père), also known as ''Stepfather'', is a 1981 French comedy-drama film directed by Bertrand Blier, based on his novel of the same name. It stars Patrick Dewaere, Ariel Besse and Maurice Ronet and is about a 30-year-old pianist who has an affair with his 14-year-old stepdaughter after her mother dies in a car accident. The film played at the 1981 Cannes Film Festival and had an international release. It received some positive reviews in spite of its controversial subject. Plot Rémi is a struggling pianist with a wife, Martine, a model who is getting too old to find desirable work, and a 14-year-old stepdaughter, Marion. When Martine is killed in a car crash, Marion expresses her desire to stay with Rémi in their apartment, but is taken away by her father Charly, an alcoholic who dislikes Rémi. Ariel Besse
Ariel Besse or Ariel Besse-Atanoux (7 October 1965 – 29 May 2022) was a French actress. Her first film role was a starring part in Bertrand Blier's 1981 film ''Beau Pere'', when she was 15. Besse's parents sued the distributors for the poster, which shows her breasts, as it was exhibited on billboards around France without their permission, losing the case. She is also noted for playing Aline in the film '' Mora'' (1982). After three films, she quit acting and became a mail carrier for La Poste, and had three children. In 2004, she made a minor screen acting comeback, appearing in one episode of the French television series '. Maurice Ronet (13 April 1927 – 14 March 1983) was a French film actor, director, and writer. Early life Maurice Ronet was born Maurice Julien Marie Robinet in Nice, Alpes Maritimes. He was the only child of professional stage actors Émile Robinet and Gilberte Dubreuil. He made his stage debut at the age of 14 alongside his parents in Sacha Guitry's ''Deux couverts'' in Lausanne. After attending the Parisian acting school Centre du Spectacle de la Rue-Blanche, he entered the Paris Conservatoire in 1944, where Jean-Louis Barrault was one of his mentors. When he made his film debut at 22 in Jacques Becker's '' Rendez-vous de juillet'' (1949) in a role that was written specifically for him by Becker, he had little interest in pursuing an acting career. Bertrand Blier (; born 14 March 1939) is a French film director and writer. His 1978 film '' Get Out Your Handkerchiefs'' won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film at the 51st Academy Awards. He is the son of famous French actor Bernard Blier. His 1996 film '' Mon Homme'' was entered into the 46th Berlin International Film Festival. His 2005 film ''How Much Do You Love Me?'' was entered into the 28th Moscow International Film Festival where he won the Silver George for Best Director.
