Batman Live
''Batman Live'' is a touring stage show, including theatrical, circus and stage-magic elements, that focuses on the DC Comics superhero Batman. It debuted on July 19, 2011 at the Manchester Evening News Arena, with two and a half years in the making at a reported cost of about £7.5 million. History Producer Nick Grace conceived the idea of "Batman Live" following his successful animatronic project of Walking With Dinosaurs − The Arena Spectacular. The story was written by Stan Berkowitz, Alan Burnett, and Allan Heinberg. The show began its tour in the UK in Manchester in summer 2011. The British Isles part of the tour includes venues in England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. It then launched in North America in Summer 2012, and ceased touring in December 2012 in Dallas, Texas. Batman
Batman is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The character was created by artist Bob Kane and writer Bill Finger, and debuted in the 27th issue of the comic book ''Detective Comics'' on March 30, 1939. In the DC Universe continuity, Batman is the alias of Bruce Wayne, a wealthy American playboy, philanthropist, and industrialist who resides in Gotham City. Manchester Arena, currently referred to as the AO Arena for sponsorship reasons, is an indoor arena in Manchester, England, immediately north of the Manchester city centre, city centre and partly above Manchester Victoria station in air rights space. Heinberg is the screenwriter of the 2017 film ''Wonder Woman'', directed by Patty Jenkins. Alan Burnett (; born February 17, 1950) is an American television writer-producer particularly associated with Warner Bros. Animation, Hanna-Barbera Productions, DC Comics, and Walt Disney Television Animation, Walt Disney television animation. He has had a hand in virtually every DC animated project since the waning years of the ''Super Friends''. Burnett's contributions for Disney were largely a part of the 1990s ''The Disney Afternoon, Disney Afternoon'', where he was attached to the ''Disney's Adventures of the Gummi Bears'' and various projects set in the Scrooge McDuck universe.
