Basketball was one of the many sports which was held at the 1990 Asian Games in Beijing, China between 23 September and 6 October 1990. China won their 5th title in the men's tournament and Korea won their 2nd title in the women's tournament, in the fourth China-Korea finals showdown. Capital Indoor Stadium
The Capital Indoor Stadium () is an indoor arena in 56 Zhongguancun South Street, Beijing, China that was built in 1968. It hosted matches between national table tennis teams of China and the United States in 1971; these matches were part of the exchange program known as '' ping pong diplomacy''. History It has a capacity of 17,345 and a floor space of 54,707 square meters expanded from the old 53,000. It was renovated for the first time between 2000 to 2001 to become a venue for the 2001 Summer Universiade. Zaldy Realubit
Zaldy Realubit (born February 18, 1967) is a Filipino retired professional basketball player who is now the Chief Operating Officer of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League. He was also the head coach of the Pilipinas Aguilas. College and amateur career Realubit hails from Nasipit, Agusan del Norte. He completed his high school at the Northwestern Agusan College but it was at the University of San Jose–Recoletos where he got hooked into basketball under coach Yayoy Alcoseba. Venancio Johnson Paras Jr. (born October 2, 1968), better known as Benjie Paras, is a Filipino actor, comedian, and a retired professional basketball player who played for Shell Turbo Chargers and San Miguel Beermen of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He is the only PBA player to win both Rookie of the Year and Most Valuable Player honors, in a single season (1989). As its star center, Paras led the Shell Turbo Chargers to championship titles. Ronald "Ronnie" Magsanoc (born April 11, 1966) is a Filipino coach, basketball analyst, and retired professional basketball player in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He was known for his moniker "The Point Laureate". Chito Loyzaga
Joaquín "Chito" Cuerva Loyzaga (born August 29, 1958) is a Filipino former professional basketball player and basketball commissioner. He is currently the Athletics Director of the NU Bulldogs in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines. He played for the San Beda College in the NCAA before going on to play in the Philippine Basketball Association. Samboy Lim
Avelino Borromeo Lim Jr. (born April 1, 1962), better known as Samboy "The Skywalker" Lim, is a retired Filipino professional basketball player of the Philippine Basketball Association and many time national player in the 1980s and 90s. As a high-flying wing, he distinguished himself with his flamboyant and often dangerous forays to the basket, punctuated by acrobatic shots, hang-time moves or slam dunks. Ramon Sadaya Fernandez (; born October 3, 1953) is a Filipino former professional basketball player and current commissioner of the Philippine Sports Commission. Fernandez won four PBA Most Valuable Player awards and a record 19 PBA titles. Fernandez stood at 6'4 barefoot during his prime but due to mild gigantism grew to 6'5 during his final seasons. Yves Arones Dignadice (born December 18, 1964) is a Filipino former professional basketball player who spent fourteen seasons in the Philippine Basketball Association, mostly with the San Miguel Beermen. Reynaldo "Rey" Cuenco (March 17, 1960 – August 15, 1996) was a Filipino former professional basketball player in the Philippine Basketball Association.
