Barranco District
Barranco is one of 43 districts in Lima, Peru. Its current mayor is José Juan Rodríguez Cárdenas. The district is considered to be the city's most romantic and bohemian, being the home and working place of many of Peru's leading artists, musicians, designers and photographers. In the 19th century, it was a very fashionable beach resort for the Limeño aristocracy, and many people used to spend the summer here and in neighboring Chorrillos. Today, Barranco's beaches are among the most popular within the worldwide surfing community, and a marina completed in 2008 provides state-of-the-art services for its yacht club. Bruno Ignacio Barranco (born 13 March 1997) is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a centre-forward for Italian Serie D club US Albenga. Óscar Jiménez is a Spanish comic book artist, penciller and inker. Career Jimenez started out in 1993 inking Carlos Pacheco's pencils at Marvel UK and rapidly became well known in the American comic industry for his art on titles such as ''The Flash'', '' JLA'' and '' Contest of Champions II''. He commenced work on '' Avataars: Covenant of the Shield'' but, according to editor Tom Brevoort, "Oscar Jimenez fell apart halfway through the project, requiring us to bring in other diverse hands to finsih it up." Juan Antonio Barranco Gallardo (born 13 August 1947 in Santiago de Calatrava, Jaén Province) is a retired Spanish politician in the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party.
