BUL Cherokee
The BUL Cherokee is a polymer framed semi-automatic pistol made by Israeli firearms manufacturer BUL Transmark and is based on the Czech-designed CZ 75 The CZ 75 is a semi-automatic pistol made by Czech firearm manufacturer ČZUB. The Cherokee is equipped with a tactical rail (for lights, etc.), three-dot windage adjustable sights (night sights optional), and enlarged trigger guard, frame-mounted thumb safety and half-cock safety; no magazine safety. The frame is an injected, fiber-reinforced polymer construction. The barrel and slide are forged 18CrMo4 and 34NiCrMo6, respectively. The new models have a natural grip angle (104 degrees). Semi-automatic Pistol
A semi-automatic pistol is a type of repeating single-chamber handgun ( pistol) that automatically cycles its action to insert the subsequent cartridge into the chamber (self-loading), but requires manual actuation of the trigger to actually discharge the following shot. As a result, only one round of ammunition is fired each time the trigger is pulled, as the pistol's fire control group disconnects the trigger mechanism from the firing pin/ striker until the trigger has been released and reset. BUL Armory is an Israeli firearms manufacturer of CZ 75, M1911, and AR15 clones designed for defensive carry, duty carry, and practical shooting sports. History BUL was founded in 1990. It initially produced only a variant of the 1911 pistol (the BUL M-5). Later it began producing the BUL Storm and BUL Cherokee series of pistols, both CZ 75 variants. The 9×19mm Parabellum (also known as 9mm Parabellum or 9mm Luger or simply 9mm) is a rimless, tapered firearms cartridge. Recoil Operation
Recoil operation is an operating mechanism used to implement locked breech, autoloading firearms. Recoil operated firearms use the energy of recoil to cycle the action, as opposed to gas operation or blowback operation using the pressure of the propellant gas. The earliest mention of recoil used to assist the loading of firearms is sometimes claimed to be in 1663 when an Englishman called Palmer proposed to employ either it or gases tapped along a barrel to do so. However no one has been able to verify this claim in recent times, although there is another automatic gun that dates from the same year, but its type and method of operation are unknown.
