BBTV Channel 7
The Channel 7 or Channel 7 HD, fully known as Bangkok Broadcasting & Television Company Limited Channel 7 ( th, สถานีโทรทัศน์ช่อง 7 เอชดี), is a Thai free-to-air television network that was launched on 27 November 1967. It is the first colour television broadcast in Mainland Southeast Asia. It is currently owned by the Royal Thai Army through Bangkok Broadcasting & Television. Its headquarters are located in Mo Chit, Chatuchak, Bangkok. History The channel was launched in a ceremony on 27 November 1967 at 7:00 pm Bangkok Time. 1080i
1080i (also known as Full HD or BT.709) is a combination of frame resolution and scan type. 1080i is used in high-definition television (HDTV) and high-definition video. The number "1080" refers to the number of horizontal lines on the screen. The "i" is an abbreviation for "interlaced"; this indicates that only the even lines, then the odd lines of each frame (each image called a video field) are drawn alternately, so that only half the number of actual image frames are used to produce video. A related display resolution is 1080p, which also has 1080 lines of resolution; the "p" refers to progressive scan, which indicates that the lines of resolution for each frame are "drawn" on the screen in sequence. In Thailand, television broadcasting started on 24 June, 1955 (in NTSC). Color telecasts (PAL, System B/G 625 lines) were started in 1967, and full-time color transmissions were launched in 1975. As of November 2020, there are currently 21 digital (DVB-T2) TV channels in Thailand. Television providers Subscription providers are available, with differences in the number of channels, capabilities such as the program guide (EPG), video on demand (VOD), high-definition (HD), interactive television via the red button, and coverage across Thailand. Set-top boxes are generally used to receive these services. Households viewing TV from the internet are not tracked by the Thai government. ''Clifford the Big Red Dog'' is an animated children's television series which is a reboot to the book series of the same name written by Norman Bridwell, and the 2000 original series created by Deborah Forte and produced by Mike Young Productions, and is the third series in the franchise after the prequel spin-off '' Clifford's Puppy Days,'' which was also produced by Mike Young Productions. In addition to being a reboot, it is also a sequel, because PBS lists it as being the third season. Clifford is voiced by Adam Sanders, replacing John Ritter in the role since the latter's death in 2003. It was released on December 6, 2019, on Amazon Prime Video, and premiered a day later on PBS Kids. Channel 5 (Full Name : Royal Thai Army Radio and Television Station; also known as Thai TV5 or simply TV5) is a Thai free-to-air television network owned by the Royal Thai Army, launched on 25 January 1958. History Launched on 25 January 1958, as HSATV Channel 7 and migrated from broadcasting in black-and-white to a colour television as Channel 5 in 1974. Miss Thailand ( th, นางสาวไทย; ), is a beauty pageant held in Thailand for Thai women, first held on December 10, 1934, in Phra Nakhon District of Bangkok, under the name of Miss Siam ( th, นางสาวสยาม; ). The winner of Miss Thailand used to represent the country at Miss Universe, while 1st Runner-up presented at Miss Asia Pacific International. Thanom Kittikachorn
Field Marshal Thanom Kittikachorn ( th, ถนอม กิตติขจร, ; 11 August 1911 – 16 June 2004) was the leader of Thailand from 1963 to 1973, during which he staged a self-coup, until public protests which exploded into violence forced him to step down. His return from exile in 1976 sparked protests which led to a massacre of demonstrators, followed by a military coup. Early life Thanom Kittikachorn was born in Tak Province to Khun Amphan Kittikachorn and his wife, Mrs Linchee Kittikachorn. His family was of Thai Chinese descent.
