Adam Byrnes (born 29 July 1981, Sydney, NSW) is an Australian immigration lawyer and principal at Visa & Citizenship Lawyers, an immigration law firm. He was previously an Australian-born Russian international rugby union player. Rugby career Byrnes played rugby at Newington College (1987–99). He played club rugby for Eastern Suburbs Rugby Union in Sydney. Byrnes played for Leinster Rugby in the Celtic League and Heineken Cup for two seasons from 2005. Norman Brice Byrnes (1922 – 1998) was an Australian botanist, specialising in taxonomy. Byrnes was born in Adelaide on 18 December 1922. He served in the Australian Defence Force during World War II and following the war, in 1946 gained a Bachelor of Science from the University of Sydney. Byrnes worked in Darwin in the Northern Territory from 1966 to 1973 then began at the Queensland Herbarium. Mark John Byrnes (born 8 February 1982) is an Australian footballer who plays for APIA Leichhardt Tigers in the New South Wales Premier League.
