Buzău (river)
The Buzău () is a river in eastern Romania, tributary of the river Siret. Its total length is 302 km, and its drainage basin area is 5,264 km2. Its source is in the south-eastern Carpathian Mountains, east of Brașov. The Buzău flows through the Romanian counties Brașov, Covasna, Buzău and Brăila. Unguriu
Unguriu () is a commune in the Buzău County, Muntenia, Romania, 18 km north-west of Buzău, the county capital, on the bank of the river Buzău. It is composed of two villages, Ojasca and Unguriu. History The first mention of Unguriu is an act of Constantine Mavrocordato from the year 1782, who transferred property of the village of Unguriu to the bishopric of Buzău. In the mid-17th century, nearby, at the Ciuciuri springs, the Unguriu monastery is built.History section of commune website The village of Ojasca is first mentioned in 1715, when Luxandra Ierculeasa gives the same bishopric a patch of land there. Geography Pătârlagele is located in the western part of the county, along the national road DN10 connecting Buzău and Brașov. Siriu
Siriu is a commune in Buzău County, Muntenia, Romania, in the valley of the river Buzău. It is composed of five villages: Cașoca, Colțu Pietrii, Gura Siriului, Lunca Jariștei (the commune centre) and Mușcelușa. Geography Location Siriu is located in the north-western part of the county, in the Buzău Mountains, at the Carpathians' curvature, on both sides of the river Buzău. The maximum altitude of the Siriu commune exceeds 1400 m. The Siriu Dam, constructed between 1982 and 1994 and its artificial lake are located in the commune. Întorsura Buzăului ( hu, Bodzaforduló ) is a town in Covasna County, Transylvania, Romania. It administers three villages: Brădet (''Bredét''), Floroaia (''Virágospatak'') and Scrădoasa. Geography The town is located in the southern part of the county, on the border with Brașov County, and lies on the left bank of the Buzău River.
