''Bush Lady'' is an album from 1977 by the Swedish singer Monica Törnell. It was Törnells' second English language album and was recorded at Rockfield Studios, near Monmouth, Wales, from 20 February to 6 March 1977. Arrangements and production were by American trumpeter Stephen Franckevich, while it was recorded by technician Ted Sharp. The album has Mercury catalog number 6363-011. That same year Törnell released the single "Disaster/Snow Cold Day" (Mercury 6062 037). "Disaster" is the same song as track 7 with Törnells' Swedish translation. Monica Törnell
Monica Kristina Ingeborg Törnell (born 3 June 1954) is a Swedish singer and songwriter. She was discovered by Cornelis Vreeswijk in 1971, triggering a career spanning several decades in various genres, mainly folk and rock music. With Lasse Holm, she represented Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest 1986 in Bergen, Norway. She was inducted in to the Swedish Musical Hall of Fame in 2022. Biography Childhood Monica Törnell lived her first years in Trönö, in the Norrala municipality, before moving with her family to Söderhamn, where she began visiting Folkets Park, encountering artists such as Lill-Babs, Jerry Williams, and others. She had her debut public performance before an audience of 700 people at the 1962 Ericsson Christmas party in Söderhamn, where her father Jöns Törnell was an employee, followed by a series of performances in public parks at home. Rockfield Studios
Rockfield Studios is a residential recording studio located in the Wye Valley just outside the village of Rockfield, Monmouthshire, Wales. It was founded in 1963 by brothers Kingsley and Charles Ward. Recording studios Rockfield is a two-studio facility consisting of The Coach House and The Quadrangle. Both studios reside within converted solid-stone farm buildings. Rockfield was one of the world's first recording studios to have living accommodation for clients. The Coach House Constructed in 1968, The Coach House includes a large live area with stone walls, a wooden ceiling, and a Yamaha grand piano. Monmouth ( or ; ) is a market town and community (Wales), community in Monmouthshire, Wales, situated on where the River Monnow joins the River Wye, from the Wales–England border.
