Vincent Brümmer
Vincent Brümmer (30 December 1932 – 30 March 2021) was a South African-born Christian theologian who worked for most of his career in the Netherlands. From 1967 to 1997 he was the Professor of Philosophy of Religion at the University of Utrecht. Brummer was born in Stellenbosch. He held degrees from Stellenbosch University, Harvard, and Utrecht University, also working as a research assistant at the University of Oxford for a year (1961-1962). On 27 May 1994 Brümmer received an honorary doctorate from the Faculty of Theology at Uppsala University, Sweden. In 1998, he received an honorary doctorate in divinity from Durham University. Renate Luise Brümmer (born 4 May 1955) is a Swiss-born German meteorological scientist and former astronaut. Specialising in satellite meteorology, she was selected as an astronaut in 1987, retiring in 1993, having never been into space. Early life and education Brümmer received the equivalent of a Master of Science degree in mathematics and physics from the University of Munich in 1981, and a Doctorate from the University of Miami in meteorology and physical oceanography in 1986. She had previously qualified as a schoolteacher and taught mathematics and physics at a secondary school. Jürgen Brümmer
Jürgen Brümmer (8 December 1964 – 25 February 2014) was a German gymnast and physical therapist. Brümmer won nine German championship titles. He competed at the 1987 and 1989 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships. In 1987, he also was a competitor at the European Men's Artistic Gymnastics Championships. One year later, Brümmer also competed for West Germany at the Summer Olympics in Seoul. As physical therapist, Brümmer served the German junior gymnast team in 1992, and from 1992 to 1994, the handball team of TSV Scharnhausen. Kai Luke Brümmer (also stylised as Brummer; born 17 February 1993) is a South African actor. He is known for his role as Nicholas van der Swart in the film ''Moffie'' (2019). ''The Guardian'' named him one of the best new-and-up-comers at the 76th Venice Film Festival. Early life Brümmer was born in Johannesburg to parents Jacques and Natalie and grew up in Henley on Klip. He was introduced to acting by his mother, who was a drama teacher. He attended St John's College, Johannesburg. He went on to graduate in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre & Performance with a distinction in Acting from the University of Cape Town. Fred Bruemmer, D.Litt. (; 26 June 1929 – 17 December 2013) was a Latvian Canadian nature photographer and researcher. He spent his life travelling extensively throughout the circumpolar regions and to other remote parts of the globe. His works have been centered mostly on the Arctic, its people and its animals. He also conducted research and published on animals in many other areas of the globe. He spoke nine languages and wrote more than a thousand articles for publications around the world, including ''Canadian Geographic'', ''Natural History'', ''National Geographic'' and '' Smithsonian''. Gustav Bruemmer (or Brümmer; April 23, 1905 – July 4, 1970) was a German watchmaker and headmaster at the watchmaking school in Hamburg. Biography Bruemmer was born on April 23, 1905, in Kiel. He left school in 1920, having acquired the O-level qualification. He learned the craft of watchmaking in Glashütte and took the trade test in 1924. His test work is now exhibited in the Museum of the School of Watchmaking in Glashuette. From 1927 to 1929, he attended the German School of Watchmaking Bruemmer Glashuette. He studied at the Vocational Teacher Training Institute and the Graduate School of Berlin. From 1931 to 1933, he trained as a commercial teacher. In his thesis he wrote about "Vocational education in watchmaking." In 1933, he had a practical educational year at the trade school in Lokstedt-Niendorf.
