Britney Jones
Britney Cimone Jones (born September 1, 1987) is an American professional basketball player. During her career she has won the national championship in Romania, Belgium, Switzerland and El Salvador. Early life and high school Jones grew up in Chicago, Chicago, Illinois and attended John Marshall Metropolitan High School. She was named the 2004–05 Athlete of the Year as well as Player of the Year by the Chicago Sun-Times while receiving all-state, all-area and all-city recognition from the Chicago Sun-Times. Marshall won the CPS City Championship in 2002 and 2004 while placing third in the state in 2002. College career Jones played college basketball for the UAB Blazers of the University of Alabama at Birmingham from 2005 to 2009. Basket Liga Kobiet (BLK), currently known for sponsorship reasons as Energa Basket Liga Kobiet (EBLK; 2001–2013 Polska Liga Koszykówki Kobiet, PLKK) is a professional women's club basketball league in Poland. It constitutes the first and highest-tier level of the Polish league pyramid. The winning team of the final round are crowned the Polish Champions of that season. Zagłębie Sosnowiec () is a Polish professional football club based in Sosnowiec. The club was established in 1906. The UAB Blazers are the varsity intercollegiate athletic programs that represent the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). The school is one of the fourteen member institutions of Conference USA (C-USA) and participates in Division I of the NCAA. The school's men's basketball team plays in 8,508-seat Bartow Arena. EuroBasket, also commonly referred to as the European Basketball Championship, is the main international basketball competition that is contested quadrennially, by the senior men's national teams that are governed by FIBA Europe, which is the European zone within the International Basketball Federation.
