Bouřňák
Bouřňák () is a mountain in the Ore Mountains, in the municipality of Moldava in the Czech Republic. The mountain is known as one of the most important ski resorts of the Ore Mountains. The windswept beech forest on the northeast side of the summit, an area of 3.26 ha, has been placed under protection since 1979 as a natural monument. History The foundation stone for the mountain hut was laid on 15 July 1928. It was built by the Czech Tourist Club. It was used by the Wehrmacht in the World War II. Origin of the name The German and Czech name of the mountain come from the severe storms (Czech ''bouře'', German ''Sturmer'') that occur here. Views The views are very rewarding. To the north it is somewhat obscured by the crest of the Ore Mountains, but the views to the south, east and west are impressive. Moldava () is a municipality and village in Teplice District in the Ústí nad Labem Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 200 inhabitants. Ore Mountains
The Ore Mountains (, or ; ) lie along the Czech–German border, separating the historical regions of Bohemia in the Czech Republic and Saxony in Germany. Mountain Rescue Service Of The Czech Republic
The Mountain Rescue Service of the Czech republic (, HS ČR) provides nationwide mountain rescue operations and search and rescue operations in difficult terrains in close cooperations with the Air Rescue Service and Police of the Czech Republic. It is a part of the integrated rescue system in the Czech Republic. History On 24 March 1913 two skiers died in Krkonoše. Bohumil Hanč participated in a 50 km long ski race and Václav Vrbata, his friend, came to cheer on him. During the race Hanč became exhausted and so Vrbata gave him his jacket to keep him warm. Both of these men died of hypothermia and this day is known as the Day of the Mountain Rescue Service of the Czech Republic. Doupov Mountains
Doupov Mountains (, ) is a Cenozoic volcanic mountain range with the typical structure of stratovolcano. The centre of the stratovolcano was in the place of a former town of Doupov. The highest mountain is Hradiště (934 metres), the lowest point is by the river Ohře near Kadaň (cca 275 metres).
