North Terrace is one of the four terraces that bound the central business and residential district of Adelaide, the capital city of South Australia. It runs east–west along the northern edge of "the square mile". The western end continues on to Port Road and the eastern end continues across the Adelaide Parklands as Botanic Road. Adelaide city centre () is the inner city locality of Adelaide, Greater Adelaide, the capital city of South Australia. City Sk8 Park
City Sk8 Park was a Skatepark, skate-boarding facility situated in Park 27 of the Adelaide Park Lands on North Terrace, Adelaide, North Terrace, in Adelaide, South Australia. It was located next to the railway tracks and the Morphett Street, Adelaide, Morphett Street Bridge. Skaters could use the facility day and night as the park was equipped with lighting and camera surveillance. The Park had sheltered seating and featured a range of vertical drops, half bowls, steps, blocks, ramps and slopes. The facility was highly visible to passers-by, helping to ensure the safety of skaters. Dogs on leads were allowed, but not in the skate park itself for their own safety. This facility was demolished during late 2015, despite a local campaign to save it, in preparation for the relocation of Adelaide's Bio-medical precinct from the east end to the west end of North Terrace. The South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI) is an independent health and medical research institute in Adelaide, South Australia. The institute is housed in a purpose-built eponymous building with its iconic " cheese-grater" design created by architects Woods Bagot, located in South Australia's health and biomedical precinct on North Terrace, just east of the Royal Adelaide Hospital. The Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH), colloquially known by its initials or pronounced as "the Rah", is South Australia's largest hospital, owned by the state government as part of Australia's public health care system.
