Bohdan Yermakov
Bohdan Oleksandrovych Yermakov (; born 28 March 1985) Ukrainian artist and poet. He is best known for his realistic rural landscapes. Biography Bogdan Yermakov was born in the family of the artist and designer Yermakov Alexander Vyacheslavovich. From an early age, Bogdan loved drawing and often came to his father's workshop. His received instruction and mentorship from Ermakov A.V. and Kovalchuk V.I. After the death of Alexander Yermakov in 2000, he tried to enter the Lugansk Art College and but did not gain passing points. At 16, he moved to Boyarka, in Kyiv, where he continued to paint. From 2002 to 2012 he was engaged in architecture and design. In 2012, he returned to landscape painting. He graduated from the European School of Design, Kyiv in 2014. Among his most major influences are Levitan, Monet, Aivazovsky, and Clover. Troitske
Troitske (, ; , ) is a rural settlement in Sloboda Ukraine, in the Svatove Raion of the Luhansk Oblast of Ukraine. Prior to 2020, it was the administrative centre of the former Troitske Raion. Population: . History Troitske traces its heritage to a sloboda settlement Kalnivka (or Kalynivka) when five families headed by a centurial aged peasant Kalyna (nicknamed Kalnyi) resettled in these lands out of Urazova sloboda, Valuiky county in Voronezh Governorate sometime in 1740-1750s. Near Kalynivka 2 versts towards Urazova River settled some Gypsy (Tsyhan) who traded horses and was looking for unoccupied pasture lands. Where he settled, there appeared a khutir (hamlet) Tsyhanivskyi or Tsyhanivka. Those lands where peasants settled and as they found out belonged to M.Golitsyn. Those peasants were placed in serfdom. Joseph Clover (artist)
Joseph Clover (baptised 19 September 177928 April 1853) was an English portrait painter and a member of the Norwich School of painters. He was born in Aylsham, in the English county of Norfolk, one of the twelve children of Thomas and Ann Clover, who owned a drapery business in the town. Few details of his early years are known. He was engaged to be married, but his fiancée, a local girl, died in 1801. He started his career as an engraver but was advised to give it up. Inspired to turn to portrait painting when the artist John Opie painted one of his relatives, he became Opie's pupil, and studied under him for four years. His paintings often use a generous amount of paint, handled freely in a fashion that was characteristic of Opie. Clover inherited property and was paid well for his commissioned works. Boyarka
Boiarka or Boyarka (, ) is a city in Fastiv Raion of Kyiv Oblast (region) of Ukraine, about 20 km SW from Kyiv. It hosts the administration of Boiarka urban hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. Population: The population in 2001 was 35,968. History There are traces of an old Kievan Rus' settlement, including the remains of an ancient cemetery. Ivan Aivazovsky
Ivan Konstantinovich Aivazovsky (; ) was a Russian Romantic painter who is considered one of the greatest masters of marine art. Baptized as Hovhannes Aivazian, he was born into an Armenian family in the Black Sea port of Feodosia in Crimea and was mostly based there. Following his education at the Imperial Academy of Arts in Saint Petersburg, Aivazovsky traveled to Europe and lived briefly in Italy in the early 1840s. He then returned to Russia and was appointed the main painter of the Russian Navy. Aivazovsky had close ties with the military and political elite of the Russian Empire and often attended military maneuvers. He was sponsored by the state and was well-regarded during his lifetime.
