A board game is a type of tabletop game that involves small objects () that are placed and moved in particular ways on a specially designed patterned game board, potentially including other components, e.g. dice. Limestone is a type of carbonate rock, carbonate sedimentary rock which is the main source of the material Lime (material), lime. Polis () was an ancient Greek board game. One of the earliest known strategy games, polis was a wargame resembling checkers. Its name appears in the Ancient Greek literature from around 450 BC to the 2nd century BC, and it seems to have been widely known in the region, particularly in Athens. The original rules of the game have been only partially preserved. History As with many ancient games, not much is known about polis, including where, when, and by whom it was invented. Nefertari, also known as Nefertari Meritmut, was an Egyptian queen and the first of the Great Royal Wife, Great Royal Wives (or principal wives) of Ramesses II, Ramesses the Great. She is one of the best known Egyptian queens, among such women as Cleopatra VII, Cleopatra, Nefertiti, and Hatshepsut, and one of the most prominent not known or thought to have queen regnant, reigned in her own right. She was highly educated and able to both read and write hieroglyphs, a very rare skill at the time. She used these skills in her diplomatic work, corresponding with other prominent royals of the time.
