Bigby, Lincolnshire
Bigby is a village and civil parish in the West Lindsey district of Lincolnshire, England. The village is situated about south from the Humber Bridge, and east from the town of Brigg. The village lies in the Lincolnshire Wolds, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to the administrative border with North Lincolnshire. The hamlets of Kettleby and Kettleby Thorpe lie within the parish, and that of Somerby almost immediately to the south. According to the 2001 census Bigby had a population of 234, increasing to 347 at the 2011 census. Atari David Bigby (born September 19, 1981) is a former American football safety. He was signed by the Miami Dolphins as an undrafted free agent in 2005. He played college football at the University of Central Florida. Bigby has also been a member of the New York Jets, Green Bay Packers, Seattle Seahawks, and the San Diego Chargers. Larry Robert Bigbie (born November 4, 1977) is an American former professional baseball first baseman and outfielder. He played in Major League Baseball from 2001 through 2006 for the Baltimore Orioles, Colorado Rockies, and St. Louis Cardinals. Career Bigbie attended Ball State University. In 1998, he played collegiate summer baseball with the Wareham Gatemen of the Cape Cod Baseball League. Bigbie was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the 1st round (21st pick overall) of the 1999 Major League Baseball amateur draft and played over four years (–) for the Orioles before being traded during the 2005 season to the Colorado Rockies.
