Bernd Baumann
Bernd Baumann (born 31 January 1958) is a German politician of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) and chief whip of the AfD Group who has been serving as a member of the Bundestag from the state of Hamburg since 2017. Life and politics Baumann was born 1958 in the West German city Herne and studied economics at the Ruhr University Bochum and achieved his PhD in 1991. Baumann eventuated the newly founded populist AfD in 2013 and was presider (Landessprecher) of the party in the city state of Hamburg from 2015 to 2017. In 2017 Baumann became the first chief whip (Erster Parlamentarischer Geschäftsführer) of the AfD in the Bundestag. The Chief Whip is a political leader whose task is to enforce the whipping system, which aims to ensure that legislators who are members of a political party attend and vote on legislation as the party leadership prescribes. Nonprofit journalism or philanthrojournalism is the practice of journalism funded largely by donations and foundations. The growth in this sector has been helped by funders seeing a need for public interest journalism like investigative reporting amidst the decline in revenue for for-profit journalism. Transparency and diversified funding streams have been put forward as best-practices for these types of organizations. Journalism done at a nonprofit organization should be evaluated just as critically as journalism from for-profit or other outlets. Martin Michael Sellner (born 8 January 1989) is an Austrian Right-wing politics, right-wing to far-right political activist, and leader of the Identitäre Bewegung Österreichs, Identitarian Movement of Austria, which he co-founded in 2012. He is considered to be a key figure in the Neue Rechte (New Right) in the German-speaking countries. Some also deem him to be part of the alt-right movement. In March 2018, he was denied entry to, and deported from, the United Kingdom. Correctiv (self-styled CORRECT!V) is a German nonprofit investigative journalism newsroom based in Essen and Berlin.
