Benny Anthony
Benny Charles "B. J." Anthony Jr. (born 20 July 1988) is a New Zealand former professional basketball player who played multiple seasons in both the Australian NBL and New Zealand NBL. He also played in Germany and England, and represented the New Zealand Tall Blacks on multiple occasions. Professional career New Zealand NBL Anthony made his debut in the New Zealand NBL in 2008 with the Harbour Heat. He continued on with the Heat in 2009 and 2010. After a season with the Waikato Pistons in 2011, Anthony signed with the Otago Nuggets for the 2012 season. However, he missed the entire season due to injury. He returned to the Nuggets for the 2013 season. In 2014, Anthony won a championship as a member of the Wellington Saints. He had signed with the Super City Rangers for the 2015 season, but missed the entire season due to injury. New Zealand National Basketball Team
The New Zealand men's national basketball team is the senior men's national basketball team of New Zealand. The team is nicknamed the Tall Blacks. 2010–11 NBL Season
The 2010–11 NBL season was the 33rd season of competition since its establishment in 1979. A total of nine teams contested the league. 2017 New Zealand NBL Season
The 2017 NBL season was the 36th season of the National Basketball League. For the second year in a row, the league fielded seven teams. The regular season commenced on Thursday 16 March in Invercargill with the Southland Sharks hosting the Nelson Giants at Stadium Southland. 2015 New Zealand NBL Season
The 2015 NBL season was the 34th season of the National Basketball League. The season draw was supposed to be released in December 2014, but the withdrawal of Otago and Waikato prompted a rethink for the 2015 competition format. In the past, each team played each other twice in a 10-team competition, meaning each franchise had nine home games. However, with two fewer teams in 2015, it was decided the new format would be played over two and half rounds to keep incomes at a similar rate for the remaining sides. Super City Rangers
The Super City Rangers were a New Zealand basketball team based in Auckland. The Rangers competed in the National Basketball League (NBL) and played their home games across multiple venues in Auckland. Team history The Waitakere Rangers debuted in the National Basketball League (NBL) in 1990 and withdrew following the 1995 season. Waitakere Basketball continued to hold a valid NBL licence for years after the Rangers withdrew but were unable to reactivate it. 2011 New Zealand NBL Season
The 2011 NBL season was the 30th season of the National Basketball League. In 2011, the Auckland Pirates debuted in the league but the Christchurch Cougars did not take part due to the effects of the 2011 Canterbury earthquake.
