Ben Leach
Ben Leach (born 2 May 1969 in Liverpool, England) was the keyboard and synthesizer player in the Liverpool-based pop band, The Farm. He joined in 1988 when the band acquired another brass section playing trumpet (also including Bobby Bilsborough on saxophone and David Peel on trombone). When the band decided to drop the brass section in early 1990, Ben became the keyboard player. He was with them at the height of their success in autumn and early winter of 1990, when they achieved chart success with "Groovy Train" and " All Together Now". He later went on to become keyboard player for the second incarnation of Happy Mondays Happy Mondays are an English rock band formed in Salford in 1980. The Farm are a British musical ensemble, band from Liverpool. Their first album, ''Spartacus (The Farm album), Spartacus'', reached the top position on the UK Albums Chart when it was released in March 1991; ''Spartacus 30'' was released in 2021 to commemorate the anniversary. "Groovy Train" was the second single released by Liverpool-based group The Farm (British band), The Farm. It was released in 1990 as the first single from their debut album ''Spartacus (The Farm album), Spartacus'' (which would be released in 1991), having been produced by Suggs (singer), Graham "Suggs" McPherson of Madness (band), Madness and Terry Farley. All Together Now (The Farm Song)
"All Together Now" is a song by British band the Farm and the second single from their debut album, ''Spartacus'' (1991). The song was released in November 1990 by Produce Records. Vocalist of the band Peter Hooton wrote the lyrics in his early 20s, after reading about the Christmas truce of 1914. The song was first recorded under the title "No Man's Land" for a John Peel session in 1983. In 1990, Hooton wrote the chorus after Steve Grimes suggested putting the lyrics of "No Man's Land" to the chord progression of Pachelbel's Canon. To shorten the song for radio, the producer Suggs cut the song to three verses from its original six. Its accompanying music video received heavy rotation on MTV Europe. Happy Mondays are an English rock band formed in Salford in 1980. The original line-up consisted of brothers Shaun Ryder (vocals) and Paul Ryder (bass), Gaz Whelan (drums), Paul Davis (keyboard), and Mark Day (guitar). Mark "Bez" Berry later joined the band onstage as a dancer and maracas player. Rowetta began working with the band as guest second vocalist in 1990. They were originally signed to Tony Wilson's Factory Records label. The group's work bridged the Manchester alternative rock music of the 1980s and the emerging UK rave scene, drawing influence from funk, house, and psychedelia to pioneer the Madchester sound.
