Ben Crealey
Ben Crealey is a Gaelic footballer who plays for the Maghery club and at senior level for the Armagh county team. He played against Kerry in the 2024 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship semi-final, helping to send his team through to a first final for 21 years. A midfielder, Crealey is also a former rally driver. His father was a rally driver too. After winning the 2024 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship final, Crealey described rallying as his "family sport". At the end of the game, he was reunited with his girlfriend Aoife Reynolds for the first time since she had left for Australia nine months previously. He won an All Star at the end of the 2024 season. Crealey is a first cousin of Bláithín Bogue, a rookie signing in the 2023 AFL Women's draft. Maghery Sean MacDermott's GAC () is a Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) club from Maghery, County Armagh, Northern Ireland. The club's home ground is Felix Hamill Park which opened in 2003 (formerly St Mary's GAA Park, opened 1956) History The club was founded in 1906 and plays in blue with a gold hoop. The club fields football teams at senior, u-21, minor, u-16, u-14, u-12 u-10, u-8 and u-6 levels. The Armagh county football team ( ) represents Armagh GAA, the county board of the Gaelic Athletic Association, in the Gaelic sport of football. The team competes in the three major annual inter-county competitions; the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship, the Ulster Senior Football Championship and the National Football League. Gaelic football (; short name '')'', commonly known as simply Gaelic, GAA, or football, is an Irish team sport. A form of football, it is played between two teams of 15 players on a rectangular grass pitch. The objective of the sport is to score by kicking or palming the ball into the other team's Goal (sport), goal (3 points) or between two upright posts above the goal and over a crossbar above the ground (1 point). Players advance the ball up the field with a combination of carrying, bouncing, kicking, hand-passing, and soloing (dropping the ball and then toe-kicking the ball upward into the hands). 2024 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship
The 2024 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship (SFC) was the 137th edition of the Gaelic Athletic Association's premier inter-county Gaelic football tournament since its establishment in 1887. Thirty-one of the thirty-two Irish counties took part – Kilkenny county football team, Kilkenny did not compete, while London county football team, London and New York county football team, New York completed the lineup. The 2003 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship final was the 116th final of the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship (SFC), a Gaelic football tournament. It was held on 28 September 2003 at Croke Park, Dublin, and featured defending champions Armagh against Tyrone. With both finalists located in the northern province of Ulster, this was the first All-Ireland SFC final to be contested by sides from the same province.
