Laurent Robert Beaudoin (; born May 13, 1938) is a Canadian businessman from Quebec. From 1979 to 2003, he was the CEO of the transportation company Bombardier. Early life Beaudoin was born in Laurier Station, Quebec. In 1959, while studying accounting at the University of Sherbrooke, he married Claire Bombardier, daughter of Canadian businessman Joseph Armand Bombardier. Career Beaudoin began his career in 1961 in Sherbrooke, Quebec by founding a firm of chartered accountants, Beaudoin and Blais, soon followed by a second firm, Beaudoin, Morin, Dufresne & Associés. Kenneth Lawrence Beaudoin (December 12, 1913 – March 19, 1995) was an American anthropologist and poet. As a poet he was an influential member of the Memphis, Tennessee literary community. As an anthropologist he specialized in the folk literature of First Peoples in North America, and published multiple monographs on myths and legends of the Sioux and Blackfoot peoples. Louis-René Beaudoin, (May 5, 1912 – February 21, 1970) was Speaker of the House of Commons of Canada from 1953 to 1957. Though trained as a lawyer, Beaudoin came from a working class background and financed his education by working as a bus driver and labourer. He became a legal advisor to the Quebec Federation of Labour and volunteered for the Quebec Liberal Party prior to winning election to Parliament. He founded a law firm in Montreal with Maurice Riel during the 1950s under the name Beaudoin, Riel, Geoffrion & Vermette now known as Dunton Rainville. Eric P. Beaudoin (born May 3, 1980) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey forward. He played in the National Hockey League with the Florida Panthers. Playing career Born in Ottawa, Ontario, Beaudoin started his hockey career in the OHL. He was drafted by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft. Léonel Beaudoin (September 13, 1924 – July 28, 2021) was a Canadian politician and insurance agent. Born in Cookshire, Quebec in September 1924, Beaudoin was elected to the House of Commons of Canada in the 1968 federal election as a Member of the Ralliement Créditiste to represent the riding of Richmond. After that party merged with the Social Credit Party of Canada, he was re-elected as a Social Credit candidate in the 1972 and 1974 federal elections. He ran unsuccessfully in the 1965 election in the riding of Richmond—Wolfe.
