Bosnia and Herzegovina was represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 1999 with the song "" written by Edin Dervišhalidović, and performed by Dervišhalidović himself and Béatrice Poulot as Dino and Béatrice. The Bosnian-Herzegovinian participating broadcaster, Radiotelevision of Bosnia-Herzegovina (RTVBiH), selected its entry for the contest through the national final ''1999''. The broadcaster returned to the contest after a one-year absence following its relegation in as one of the six entrants with the lowest average scores over the previous five contests. Bosnia and Herzegovina has been represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 19 times since making its debut in , after coming second in the qualification round " Kvalifikacija za Millstreet". "Lejla" (; ) was 's entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 2006, performed in the country's native language by Hari Mata Hari. Hajrudin "Hari" Varešanović (born 16 January 1961 in Sarajevo) is a Bosnian musician. Varešanović remains the vocal soloist, primary composer and lyricist for the musical group Hari Mata Hari. Biography Hajrudin Varešanović was born in 1961 in Sarajevo as the second child of Reufik, a mechanic, and Zlata, a cashier. He grew up in the Vratnik neighborhood of Sarajevo's old town. His grandfather, Mehaga Varešanović, was one of the more well-known singers of traditional Bosnian music called sevdalinka. At the age of six, Hajrudin began to sing and learned to play the guitar. Saša Lošić "Loša" (; born 19 July 1964) is a Bosnian singer, guitarist, songwriter, composer and music producer currently residing in Slovenia.
