Battle Of Falam
The Battle of Falam (also named "Mission Jerusalem") was an offensive conducted by the Chin Brotherhood Alliance, along with other anti- junta resistance forces, to capture the Chin State town of Falam during the Myanmar civil war. The battle was reported to be the first major battle resulting in the capture of a town without on-the-ground participation from ethnic armed organizations established before the 2021 phase of the civil war. Background Falam is the second-largest city in Chin State and a former state capital. It is strategically located on the route between the junta’s Regional Operations Command in Kale (Sagaing Region) and Hakha (Chin State). Chin Theater
The Chin Theater is one of the theaters of the Myanmar civil war (2021–present), with resistance forces fighting against the Tatmadaw military junta in Chin State, western Myanmar. Background Chin State is the least-developed region of Myanmar, located in the far west of the country, bordering India. Paletwa, situated in southern Chin State, has experienced conflict earlier than other towns in the region. Arakan Army
The Arakan Army (; Abbreviation, abbreviated AA), sometimes referred to as the Arakha Army is an Ethnic nationalism, ethnic-List of insurgent groups in Myanmar, armed organisation based in Rakhine State (Arakan). Founded in April 2009, the Arakan Army is the military wing of the United League of Arakan (ULA). It is currently led by Commander-in-Chief Major General Twan Mrat Naing and vice deputy commander-in-chief Brigadier General Nyo Twan Awng. It is the military wing of the Rakhine people, Rakhine ethnic people in Rakhine state where they are the majority. 2024 In Myanmar
4 (four) is a number, numeral and digit. It is the natural number following 3 and preceding 5. It is a square number, the smallest semiprime and composite number, and is considered unlucky in many East Asian cultures. Evolution of the Hindu-Arabic digit Brahmic numerals represented 1, 2, and 3 with as many lines. 4 was simplified by joining its four lines into a cross that looks like the modern plus sign. The Shunga would add a horizontal line on top of the digit, and the Kshatrapa and Pallava evolved the digit to a point where the speed of writing was a secondary concern. Battle Of Laukkai
The Battle of Laukkai was a military offensive conducted by the Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) encircling and capturing Laukkai, the capital of the Kokang Self-Administered Zone (Kokang SAZ) in northeastern Myanmar. The battle was part of the larger Operation 1027, a joint military operation conducted by the Three Brotherhood Alliance coalition of three ethnic armed organisations and part of the overall Myanmar civil war (2021-present), renewed civil war in Myanmar. Chinshwehaw, a key border town and main entrypoint into Kokang on the Lashio-chinshwehaw Road was seized on the first day of Operation 1027. On May 21, 2024, the Arakan Army (AA) launched its offensive in Maungdaw Township. The campaign lasted approximately six months, ultimately leading to the capture of the township on December 8, 2024, securing full control over the 271-kilometer border with Bangladesh. Ngape Clashes
The Ngape clashes were a series of military engagements during the 2021 Myanmar civil war that started on 21 November 2024. Frequent clashes were reported in mountainous areas along the Ann-Padan Road on the border between Rakhine State and Magway Region, as local resistance groups attempted to prevent junta reinforcements and supplies from reaching Ann town where the Arakan Army (AA) was besieging the town during the Battle of Ann. Falam Township
Falam Township () is the only township of Falam District in the Chin State of Myanmar. Its administrative seat is the town of Falam. The population, as of 2014, is 41,457 (male:20,350; female: 21,107). Out of this population, 9,092 live in Falam town (urban population) and 32,365 live in rural areas. Falam Township is mountainous, running east–west from the foothills above the Neyinzaya and Myittha rivers to the high peaks of the Chin Hills in the Arakan Mountain Range and down to the border with Mizoram State, India. The highest peak in the township, Mount Zinghmuh is also the second highest mountain peak in Chin State. The Manipur (Manipuya) River runs south through the center of the township.
