Batman (Earth-Two)
The Batman of Earth-Two is an alternate version of the superhero Batman, who appears in American comic books published by DC Comics. The character was introduced after DC Comics created Earth-Two, a parallel world that was retroactively established as the home of characters whose adventures had been published in the Golden Age of comic books. This provided justification within the fictional world of Batman stories for DC Comics publishing Batman comic books that disregarded the character's Golden Age stories, as Batman had been presented as a single ongoing incarnation of the character since his earliest stories were published. Publication history The earliest reference to a Batman on Earth-Two was in ''Detective Comics'' #347 (January 1966) "The Strange Death of Batman" which contained a "What if" story where the Batman of Earth-One was killed, but the Batman of Earth-Two came to Earth-One to be Robin's partner while the adult Robin of Earth-Two took his place on that Earth. Bob Kane
Robert Kane ( Kahn ; October 24, 1915 – November 3, 1998) was an American comic book writer, animator, and artist who created Batman and many early related characters for DC Comics. He was inducted into the comic book industry's Jack Kirby Hall of Fame in 1993 and into the Will Eisner Comic Book Hall of Fame in 1996. Early life Kahn was born in New York City. His parents, Augusta ( Tuchman) and Herman Kahn, an engraver, were of Ashkenazi Jewish descent. A high school friend of fellow cartoonist and future Spirit creator Will Eisner, Robert Kahn graduated from DeWitt Clinton High School and then legally changed his name to Robert Kane. He studied art at Cooper Union before joining the Max Fleischer Studio as a trainee animator in the year of 1934. The Huntress, also known as Helena Wayne, is a superheroine appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The Character (arts), character is the daughter of the Batman (Earth-Two), Batman and Catwoman#Earth-Two, Catwoman (Selina Kyle) of an parallel universe (fiction), alternate universe established in the early 1960s and Earth-Two, referred to as "Earth-Two", where the Golden Age of Comic Books, Golden Age stories took place.
