Banten (, , Pegon alphabet, Pegon: بنتن) is the westernmost Provinces of Indonesia, province on the island of Java, Indonesia. Its capital city is Serang and its largest city is Tangerang. Banten Sundanese
Banten Sundanese or Bantenese (''Basa Sunda Banten'' or ''Basa Wewengkon Banten'') is one of the Sundanese dialects spoken predominantly by the Bantenese people, Bantenese — an indigenous ethnic group native to Banten — in the westernmost region of the island of Java, and in the western Bogor Regency (especially in Greater Jasinga, covering the districts of Jasinga, Cigudeg, Tenjo, Nanggung, Parungpanjang, and Sukajaya; known as Jasinga Sundanese), as well as the northwestern part of Sukabumi Regency. A variety of Bantenese is spoken by the Ciptagelar people in the ''Ciptagelar, Kasepuhan Ciptagelar'' traditional community in the Cisolok district and the ''Kasepuhan Banten Kidul'' traditional community in the Lebak Regency. Andra Soni (; born 12 August 1976) is an Indonesian businessman and politician of the Gerindra party who is the governor of Banten since February 2025. He was previously a member of Banten's provincial legislature in 2014–2024 and its speaker in 2019–2024. He originated from West Sumatra, moving to Tangerang as a teen before eventually starting a logistics company. Serang (, , Sundanese: ) is a city and the capital of Banten province and was formerly also the administrative center of Serang Regency in Indonesia (the Regency's capital is now at Ciruas). The city is located towards the north of Banten province, on the island of Java; the north part of the city (Kasemen District) contains the coast zone facing onto Banten Bay, and includes the historical site of Old Banten, after which the province is named. Achmad Dimyati Natakusumah
Achmad Dimyati Natakusumah (born 17 September 1966) is an Indonesian politician who served as a member of the House of Representatives between 2009–2018 and 2019–2024. Natakusumah was also the regent of Pandeglang Regency between 2000 and 2009.
