BC Donetsk
Basketball Club Donetsk (), commonly known as simply Donetsk, was a Ukraine, Ukrainian professional basketball club, based in Donetsk. The team played in the Ukrainian Basketball Super League, Ukrainian SuperLeague. The mascot of the team was a tiger, and this also appeared on their team logo; and "The Tigers" was also the team nickname. History In Soviet times, there was one professional basketball team in Donetsk, called Shakhtyor (which translates as Miners in English). It had built a reputation as a highly competitive team. In the years following Ukrainian independence, the Miners finished second in the country on one occasion and third place another season, and played 24 games in the Euro cup championships. Druzhba Palace Of Sports
Druzhba Arena () was an indoor arena in Donetsk, Ukraine, Donetsk, Ukraine. It was built to develop hockey in the region. It was destroyed in May 2014 during the War in Donbas. History Druzhba was built in 1975 as Druzhba Palace of Sports (), by a standard design (dated 1956), with a seating capacity of 4,700 people for sporting events and 5,100 for concerts The Palace was open for visitors in 1976, and this event was the double surprise for fans, as the hockey match between Moscow hockey star teams was organized – Krylya Sovetov Moscow, Krylya Sovetov and HC Dynamo Moscow, Dynamo. EuroCup Basketball, commonly known as the EuroCup and currently called BKT EuroCup for sponsorship reasons, is an annual professional basketball club competition organized by Euroleague Basketball. The league is regarded as Euroleague Basketball's second-tier professional basketball club tournament. Founded as ULEB Cup in 2002, the competition lasted until 2008 when a new competition was introduced after an agreement between ULEB and FIBA under the name of ''EuroCup'' for the 2008–09 Eurocup Basketball, 2008–09 season, following a change in format. Given that the FIBA EuroChallenge was known as EuroCup until 2008, a new era of stronger cooperation between ULEB and FIBA Europe was set in 2008. Viacheslav "Slava" Kravtsov (; born 25 August 1987) is a Ukrainian professional basketball player for the Borneo Hornbills of the Indonesian Basketball League (IBL). He also represents the Ukraine national basketball team, Ukrainian national basketball team. Professional career Kravtsov played in the Ukrainian basketball league for BC Kyiv from 2005 to 2010. Kravtsov declared for the 2009 NBA draft, but after not being selected by a team, he returned to Kyiv to play one additional season. D'or Anthony Naheem Fischer (; born October 12, 1981) is an American-Israeli professional basketball who last played for Elitzur Eito Ashkelon of the Israeli National League. He has also represented the senior Israeli national team. Standing at , he plays at the power forward and center positions. College career Fischer was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and did not play basketball as a student at Upper Darby High School. Fischer played college basketball at Northwestern State University and also at West Virginia University with the West Virginia Mountaineers. 2012–13 Eurocup Basketball was the 11th edition of Europe's second-tier level transnational competition for men's professional basketball clubs, the EuroCup. The EuroCup is the European-wide league level that is one level below the EuroLeague. The winner of this competition earned a place at the group stage of the next season's EuroLeague. In this edition, semifinals were played in home-and-away series, and the final in a single game. Eurocup Qualifying Rounds were deleted. The final game was played at Spiroudome in Charleroi, Belgium. The Ukrainian Basketball SuperLeague (USL) () is the first-tier level of professional basketball league in Ukraine. Established in 1992, the league is currently contested by 10 clubs. It is a tier above the Ukrainian Higher League and allows for one team from the Higher League each season to be promoted. The league exists out of a regular season, in which team play for playoff-seeding, followed by playoffs to determine the Ukrainian champion. VTB United League
The VTB United League () is an international professional men's club basketball league that was founded in 2009. It is made up of mostly Russian clubs, along with one each from Belarus and Kazakhstan. Since 2013, it is the first tier of Russian professional club basketball. Therefore, the highest placed Russian team in the league can also be named the Russian national champions. The league is sponsored by Russian state-owned VTB Bank. In 2009 CSKA Moscow won VTB United League Promo-Cup, but this competition does not count as official VTB title. CSKA has dominated the league, having won majority of titles its existence. The VTB United League also holds a youth competition, the VTB United Youth League.
