Raymond Anthony Ebanks, also known as B.O. Dubb (formerly known as B.O.W.; born 2 January 1970), is a Finland, Finnish rapper and singer best known as the frontman of the hip-hop group the Bomfunk MC's. Early career Ebanks was born in London to a British father of Jamaicans, Jamaican and English people, English extraction and a Finns, Finnish mother. He moved to Kontula, Helsinki, Finland, with his parents at an early age. He began recording music as a teenager in the early 1990s as part of the Finnish hip hop group , who often performed over DJ sets at clubs. Whilst no recordings were made, some of their performances were recorded, and have emerged online. Around this time, Ebanks performed guest raps on the song "Cryin' Out" by Rama (1994). The Bomfunk MC's is a Finnish hip hop group that was active from 1998 to 2005, before reuniting in 2018. The group's frontman is rapper B.O. Dubb (born Raymond Ebanks, formerly known as B.O.W.), and the main producer is Jaakko Salovaara, also known as JS16. Career 1999–2005 The band's debut release was the 1999 album '' In Stereo'' (Sony Music), which included the singles " Freestyler", "Uprocking Beats", and " B-Boys & Flygirls", all of which gained popularity in the United Kingdom. "Uprocking Beats" reached the number one position on the Finnish Dance charts. ''In Stereo'' sold over 600,000 units. Jaakko Sakari Salovaara (born 13 January 1975), better known by his stage name JS16, is a Finnish musician, DJ and record producer. He is best known for his work with Finnish hip hop group Bomfunk MC's, producing their most successful song " Freestyler", and for his work with Finnish DJ and producer Darude, as well as other solo productions and remixes. He released his debut studio album, ''Stomping System'' in 1998. He is part of the DJ duo Dallas Superstars with Heikki L, and owns the dance music record label 16 Inch Records. Career His first release was the 1991 single "Hypnosynthesis", at the age of 16 (hence the number 16 in his artist name). ''Firebugs'' is a 2002 racing video game developed by Attention to Detail and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for the PlayStation. As it was released late into the console's lifespan and the PlayStation 2 had been out for 2 years, it was only released in Europe.
