Avni Arbaş
Avni Arbaş (1919 – October 16, 2003) was a Turkish painter of Circassian descent. Arbaş was born in Istanbul, in the Constantinople Vilayet of the Ottoman Empire. He is best known for his paintings of scenes from daily life in Turkey, the Turkish War of Independence, the Bosphorus, fishermen, horses, and nature. He also made many portraits. Avni Institute Of Art And Design
Avni Institute of Art and Design is an Israeli art school located in Tel Aviv. History The Studia school (later Avni Institute) was established in 1936 by a group of Jewish artists. Among the founders was Aharon Avni, who became the school's first director. After Avni's death the school was renamed in his memory. The school offers degrees in art and design and architecture. It also runs a Bachelor of Arts program in collaboration with the Open University of Israel. The Avni Institute is located in a complex of buildings on Eilat Street in South Tel Aviv. Yossi Avni-Levy (born 25 May 1962) is an Israeli writer and diplomat. He has served in various positions in Israeli embassies in Berlin, Bonn, Belgrade, and Warsaw. He is Israel’s ambassador to Lithuania. From 2011 until 2016, he was Ambassador to Serbia. Avni-Levy is the author of the books ''Garden of the dead trees'', ''Four sons'', ''Auntie Farhuma wasn't a whore after all'', ''A man without shadow'' and ''Ode of the Sins''. Yosef Avni
Yosef Avni ( he, יוסף אבני; December 25, 1924 - February 3, 2021) was an Irgun fighter. He was born Yosef Danoch in Jerusalem, British Mandate of Palestine, to Yemenite Jewish immigrants. He changed his name to Avni (his underground identity) after the establishment of the State of Israel in 1948. Avni went to work as a locksmith at a young age, to help provide for his family (he learned his job at his cousins' workshop, the Sabah brothers). At the age of 16 he joined Betar, leaving four years later (in 1942) for the Irgun. After the declaration of the Revolt against the British authorities (February 1944), Avni became part of the fighting force, and on top of being in charge of an arms dump in Jerusalem took part in many operations. Avni Spahiu (born 12 March 1956) is a Kosovar diplomat and former television director. During the period between 2008 and 2012 he served as ambassador to the United States. Avni Rustemi
Avni Rustemi (22 September 1895 – 22 April 1924) was an Albanian patriot, militant, teacher, activist and member of the Albanian parliament. Rustemi was the leader of both democratic organisations "Atdheu" and "Bashkimi", and also a member of the democratic opposition in the Albanian National Assembly preceding the Revolution of June 1924. He is also known for assassinating Essad Pasha Toptani. Early life Rustemi was born in Libohovë, in a patriotic family of landowners with ancient progressive traditions who were born into the Bektashi faith.
