Arratia-Nerbioi (Spanish: ''Arratia-Nervión'') is a comarca of the province of Biscay, in the Basque Country, Spain. It is formed by the valleys of the Arratia river and the Nervión river. It is one of the seven ''eskualdeak'' or ''comarcas'' that compose the province of Biscay. Geography Arratia-Nerbioi is located on the south of the province of Biscay. It limits with the region of Greater Bilbao on the north and Durangaldea on the northeast. The Basque province of Álava is on the south. Dima, Spain
Dima is a town and municipality of the province of Biscay, in the Basque Country, Spain. Dima is part of the ''comarca'' of Arratia-Nerbioi and had a population of 1,313 inhabitants in 2010 according to the Spanish National Statistics Institute. Geography Dima is located in the ''comarca'' of Arratia-Nerbioi, in the south of the province of Biscay, northern Spain. It limits at north with the municipalities of Igorre and Amorebieta-Etxano at north, Durango at northeast, Mañaria at east, Abadiño at southeast, Otxandio and Ubide at south and Zeanuri, Areatza, Artea and Arantzazu at west. Part of the municipality is located within the Urkiola Natural Park. The Axlor archaeological site is nearby. Transportation The town is accessible only by road; the BI-3543 connects it with Igorre and Otxandio. In Spain, a ''comarca'' (, sing. ''comarca'') is either a traditional territorial division without any formal basis, or a group of municipalities, legally defined by an autonomous community for the purpose of providing common local government services. In English, a comarca is equivalent to a district, county, area or zone. Legally defined comarcas The large majority of legally defined comarcas are in Catalonia (42) and Aragon (33)), and are regulated by law and are governed by a comarcal council with specified powers.
