Basrief Arief (23 January 1947 – 23 March 2021) was an Indonesian prosecutor who served as the Attorney General of Indonesia from 26 November 2010 until 20 October 2014. He was born in Tanjung Enim in South Sumatra. As attorney general, he was responsible for state prosecutions. Arief Budiman (born Soe Hok Djin; January 3, 1941 – April 23, 2020) () was a Chinese Indonesian sociologist, cultural critic and social activist. Biography Budiman was born Soe Hok Djin on 3 January, 1941. His father Soe Lie Piet was a writer and magazine editor, and his younger brother Soe Hok Gie was a social activist. He graduated from Kolese Kanisius, a Jesuit high school and then Universitas Indonesia where he earned a bachelor's degree in psychology in 1968. In 1980, he earned his Ph.D. in sociology from Harvard University, United States. He was a lecturer at the Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana, Salatiga, Indonesia until 1996. Arief Hidayat (born 3 February 1956) was the fifth Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court of Indonesia. Previously, he was a professor of law at his alma mater, Diponegoro University. In January 2017, Hidayat led an investigation of his colleagues relating to a graft scandal on the court. Ilham Arief Sirajuddin (born 16 September 1965) is an Indonesian former politician who was the mayor of Makassar between 2004 and 2014. He was convicted of corruption in 2016.
