Vitorino Gabriel Pacheco Antunes (; born 1 April 1987) is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a left-back for F.C. Paços de Ferreira. Celso Antunes (born November 12, 1959) is a Brazilian conductor (music), conductor located in Germany. Biography Antunes studied singing and conducting at the University of São Paulo, achieved recognition as assistant conductor of the São Paulo Youth Symphony Orchestra and obtained a German Academic Exchange Service, DAAD scholarship to complete his studies on at the Musikhochschule Köln in Germany, where he graduated in 1990. Shortly afterward, in 1991, Antunes founded his own new music group, the Tippett Ensemble, which continues to give concerts throughout Europe, always featuring mainly contemporary music. Jorge de Freitas Antunes (born 23 April 1942) is a Brazilian composer of electroacoustic and acousmatic music. Jorge Antunes is an Avant-garde composer, who is known as the man who pioneered electronic music in Brazil. Born in Rio de Janeiro, Antunes entered the Escola de Música da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro in 1959 where he studied violin. A harpsichord ( it, clavicembalo; french: clavecin; german: Cembalo; es, clavecín; pt, cravo; nl, klavecimbel; pl, klawesyn) is a musical instrument played by means of a keyboard. This activates a row of levers that turn a trigger mechanism that plucks one or more strings with a small plectrum made from quill or plastic. The strings are under tension on a soundboard, which is mounted in a wooden case; the soundboard amplifies the vibrations from the strings so that the listeners can hear it. Like a pipe organ, a harpsichord may have more than one keyboard manual, and even a pedal board. Harpsichords may also have stop buttons which add or remove additional octaves. Some harpsichords may have a buff stop, which brings a strip of buff leather or other material in contact with the strings, muting their sound to simulate the sound of a plucked lute. Antunes (harpsichord Makers)
The Antunes family were Portuguese harpsichord- and early piano builders in the 18th and 19th centuries. Known builders of the family Julião was the father of Joaquim José; he was a maker of string instruments for the royal chapel in Lisbon :Joaquim José (1731–1811) harpsichord maker in Lisbon, and the most prominent member of the family. :Manuel (1707–1796) was the brother of Joaquim José and shared a workshop with him. :::João Baptista ( fl.1825–1865), was the grandson of Manuel and a maker of keyboard instruments. Surviving instruments There are four Antunes instruments still in existence.
