Anthony Ricketts
Anthony Ricketts (born 12 March 1979 in Sydney, New South Wales) is a former professional squash player from Australia. Ricketts won the British Open in 2005, beating James Willstrop in the final 11–7, 11–9, 11–7. He also won the 2005 Tournament of Champions title, and the Super Series Finals in 2006. At the 2002 Commonwealth Games, Ricketts won a Silver Medal in the men's doubles partnering Stewart Boswell. Ricketts and Boswell again won a men's doubles Silver Medal at the 2006 Commonwealth Games. The pair won the men's doubles title at the 2006 World Doubles Squash Championships. Ricketts was a member of the Australian team which won the World Team Squash Championships in 2003. Following a knee injury, Ricketts announced his retirement from squash in December 2007. PSA World Series
The PSA World Series (formerly known as the PSA Super Series) was a series of men's and women's squash tournaments which were part of the Professional Squash Association (PSA) World Tour for the squash season. The tournaments were some of the most prestigious events on the men's tour. The best-performing players in the World Series events qualified for the annual PSA World Series Finals tournament. Each year, several tournaments on the tour were designated World Series events. These included major events such as the World Championship, the British Open, the Hong Kong Open or the Tournament of Champions. Thierry Lincou (born 2 April 1976, in La Réunion) is a retired professional squash player from France. He reached the World No. 1 ranking in January 2004. That year, Lincou won the World Open title, the Hong Kong Open and the Super Series Finals. He has been known as one of the greatest lateral movers in the game, as well as being one of the fittest players in the history of squash. Amr Shabana
Amr Shabana (; born 20 July 1979 in Cairo) is a former professional squash player from Egypt. He won the World Open in 2003, 2005, 2007 and 2009, and reached the World No. 1 ranking in 2006. He represented the winning Egyptian team in the 1999 Men's World Team Squash Championships held in Cairo and the 2009 Men's World Team Squash Championships held in Denmark. Shabana's accomplishments in professional squash lead many to regard him as one of the greatest players of all time. Peter Nicol (born 5 April 1973) is a former professional squash player from Scotland, who represented first Scotland and then England in international squash. In 1998, while still competing for Scotland, he became the first player from the UK to hold the World No. 1 ranking. During his career, he won one World Open title, two British Open titles, and four Commonwealth Games Gold Medals. World Team Squash Championships
The WSF World Team Squash Championships are an international squash (sport), squash competition organised by the World Squash Federation (WSF) and played between teams representing different nations. Countries enter teams of three or four players to represent them in the championships. In each round of the competition, teams face each other in a best-of-three singles matches contest. World Doubles Squash Championships
The World Squash Doubles Championship has been held in North America since 1981 when it was sanctioned by the International Squash Racquets Federation. It has been held bi-annually since 1994 where it has alternated with the World Softball Doubles. Under the WSF rules, double pairs must be made up of two players from the same country. The WSF event has been held since 1997, being Australia 2019 last edition. Format In its most recent format, teams enter through their national governing body and the event is sanctioned by the WSF. The championships are played on courts measuring 32 feet (9.75 metres) by 25 feet – a court size approved by the World Squash Federation in 1992 for the international doubles game.
