House Of Lords (band)
House of Lords is an American rock band based out of Connecticut, with members in New Jersey and Florida. History House of Lords was formed in 1987 by former Angel member and keyboardist Gregg Giuffria following his solo project Giuffria. After listening to demos – originally intended for Giuffria's third record – a record deal with Gene Simmons' company Simmons Records was agreed upon, on two conditions: to change the band's name (to House of Lords) and to recruiter a new lead singer (firing David Glen Eisley in the process). James Christian replaced Eisley. Christian was suggested by ex-Giuffria and Quiet Riot bassist Chuck Wright, after having worked together in L.A. Rocks. House of Lords' eponymous debut was released in 1988, featuring a heavier sound than Giuffria’s and less prominent keyboards. Hard Rock
Hard rock or heavy rock is a loosely defined subgenre of rock music typified by aggressive vocals and distorted electric guitars. Hard rock began in the mid-1960s with the garage, psychedelic and blues rock movements. Glam Metal
Glam metal (also known as hair metal or pop metal) is a subgenre of heavy metal that features pop-influenced hooks and guitar riffs, upbeat rock anthems, and slow power ballads. It borrows heavily from the fashion and image of 1970s glam rock. Early glam metal evolved directly from the glam rock movement of the 1970s, as visual elements taken from acts such as T. "Can't Find My Way Home" is a song written by Steve Winwood that was first released by Blind Faith on their 1969 album ''Blind Faith''. ''Rolling Stone'', in a review of the album, noted that the song featured "Ginger Baker's highly innovative percussion" and judged the lyric "And I'm wasted and I can't find my way home" to be "delightful". Cover versions The song has been covered by many musicians. Brazilian singer and tropicalist composer Gilberto Gil recorded it on his 1971 studio album "Gilberto Gil" (a live version appeared as bonus track on CD as well). American blues guitarist Bonnie Raitt sang the song during her 1972 concert series. A bootleg recording with Raitt, Lowell George, John P. Blind Faith
Blind Faith were an English supergroup featuring Steve Winwood, Eric Clapton, Ginger Baker, and Ric Grech. They were eagerly anticipated by the music press following on the success of each of the member's former bands, including Clapton and Baker's former group Cream and Winwood's former group Traffic, but they split after a few months, producing only one album and a three-month long summer tour. The group originated with informal jamming by Clapton and Winwood in early 1969 following the break-ups of Cream and Traffic. Baker joined them in rehearsals and they decided to form a group. Grech joined as the fourth member from the band Family in May, and they began recording their eponymous debut album. It drew controversy for featuring a photograph of a topless 11-year-old girl on the front cover, and it was issued with a different cover in the United States.
