Angèle Van Laeken () (; born 3 December 1995) is a Belgian singer, songwriter, pianist, record producer and actress. She was one of 2018's biggest breakout acts in French and Belgian pop music, breaking Stromae's record for weeks at the top of the Belgian singles charts with her 2018 single " Tout oublier" which features her brother, Roméo Elvis. Early life Angèle van Laeken was born on 3 December 1995, in Uccle, Brussels-Capital Region. Angèle is the daughter of the singer Marka and of the actress Laurence Bibot. Her brother is the rapper Roméo Elvis. Her father encouraged her from an early age to learn the piano, which inspired her musical career. Angèle spent a difficult adolescence in a strict Catholic school before attending the Decroly School. The artistic options at this high school helped develop her musical skills. Angèle Dubeau, (born 24 March 1962) is a Canadian classical violinist. She has devoted a large part of her career to making classical music accessible to a wide audience, but also frequently plays works by contemporary composers. Early life and education Dubeau was born in Saint-Norbert, Quebec, the seventh of eight children. She first studied the violin with Father Rolland Brunelle at the Joliette music camp, at Jean Cousineau's Les Petits Violons. She went on to graduate as a First-Prize winner from the Conservatoire de musique du Québec à Montréal. She studied at the Juilliard School of Music in New York with Dorothy DeLay and later went to Romania to work with Ştefan Gheorghiu from 1981 until 1984. Angèle Aguigah (born 4 December 1955) is a Togolese archaeologist and politician. She was the first female archaeologist from Togo, and in 2017 she was given the honor of “Human Living Treasure of Togo“. Biography Angèle Dola Akofa Aguigah was born on 4 December 1955 in Lomé, Togo, where she grew up. She studied at the University of Paris I, Pantheon-Sorbonne from 1978–86, where she graduated with degrees in: License in Archaeology and History of Art; MA in African Archaeology; Diploma of Advanced Studies; PhD in African Archaeology. Angèle Arsenault, (October 1, 1943 – February 25, 2014) was a Canadian- Acadian singer, songwriter and media host. Early life Arsenault was born to Acadian parents Arthur and Joséphine in Abrams Village, Prince Edward Island, Canada in 1943. She was the eighth child out of fourteen children. She grew up surrounded by music because this medium was very popular among her family. The family would gather for kitchen parties, an important aspect of Acadian culture, and each would play a different musical instrument, and would sing songs passed down from older generations. By the age of 14, she was playing the piano and the guitar and won a televised singing contest in Charlottetown. In 1965, she received her BA from the Université de Moncton followed by her MA from Université Laval in 1968. Angèle Bassolé-Ouédraogo (born 8 February 1967) is an Ivoirian-born Canadian poet and journalist. She has won the Trillium Book Award and been nominated for the Ottawa Book Award. Biography She was born in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, and raised in Upper Volta. She was an avid reader as a child, and was encouraged by her local librarian who eventually taught her as his assistant, which allowed her access to more books than she would normally be allowed. She wrote her first poem around the age of 11 to 12, after being influenced by her brother Francis, who would go on to be a well known poet in Côte d'Ivoire. She is most famously known for her work in black and white, humanistic photography, that often focuses on the African woman as a subject matter.
