Andrew Tiedemann
Andrew Tiedemann (born 21 July 1988) is a Canadian rugby union player. His position is prop, and he has played 11 tests for the Canada national team. Tiedemann currently plays rugby for Castaway Wanderers RFC in the British Columbia Premiership and the Prairie Wolf Pack of the Canadian Rugby Championship. Previously, Tiedemann spent time with St. Albert RFC and the University of Victoria. International career Tiedemann had previously represented Canada at the U-17, U-19, and U-20 levels before making his debut with the senior men's squad. At the 2008 IRB Junior World Championship Tiedemann started in four of the five matches in which he played including the team's sole victory of the tournament, a 17–10 win over Fiji. Tiedemann made his debut for the Canada national team on 30 May 2009 earning his first cap against Wales. Rugby Union Positions
In the game of rugby union, there are 15 players on each team, comprising eight forwards (wearing jerseys numbered 1–8) and seven backs (numbered 9–15). In addition, there may be up to eight replacement players "on the bench", numbered 16–23. Players are not restricted to a single position, although they generally specialise in just one or two that suit their skills and body types. Players that play multiple positions are called "utility players". Forwards compete for the ball in scrums and Line-out (rugby union), line-outs and are generally bigger and stronger than the backs. Props push in the scrums, while the hooker tries to secure the ball for their team by "hooking" it back with their heel. 2008 IRB Junior World Championship
The 2008 IRB Junior World Championship was the first annual international rugby union competition for Under 20 national teams. All players who were twenty years of age or under on 1 January 2008 were eligible for selection. This competition replaced the now defunct Under 19 Rugby World Championship and Under 21 Rugby World Championship. The event, organised by rugby's governing body, the International Rugby Board (IRB), was contested by sixteen men's under-20 national teams. The tournament was held in June and hosted by Wales, at four separate venues, and won by New Zealand. Wales National Rugby Union Team
The Wales national rugby union team ( cy, Tîm rygbi'r undeb cenedlaethol Cymru) represents Wales in men's international rugby union. Its governing body, the Welsh Rugby Union (WRU), was established in 1881, the same year that Wales played their first international against England. Fiji National Under-20 Rugby Union Team
The Fiji national under 20 rugby team is for Fijian rugby union players aged 20 or under on January 1 of the year during which they are selected. Under 20 age grade rugby came into existence, as a result of the IRB combining the Under 19 Rugby World Championship and Under 21 Rugby World Championship into a single IRB Junior World Championship tournament. The Canadian Rugby Championship (CRC) (french: Championnat provincial du Canada de rugby à XV) was a Canadian amateur rugby union competition, partially funded by the World Rugby. It was the highest level of men's domestic rugby in Canada. Four representative teams from regions across Canada competed for the MacTier Cup.
