Andrea Slobodian
Andrea Slobodian is a Canadian former television reporter. In October 2012, she became the late night anchor for CTV News in Winnipeg. Previously she was a reporter and commentator for ''The Roundtable'' on Sun News Network. She currently works for the Manitoba Legislature in the Communications and Stakeholder Relations department. Early life Slobodian is in the third generation of her family to live in Canada. They came from Ukraine and settled in Manitoba, where she was raised. She graduated from Collège Jeanne-Sauvé in Winnipeg, then took Red River College's Creative Communications program, majoring in journalism. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Winnipeg. Olympic Plaza (Calgary)
The Olympic Plaza is an urban park and gathering place in downtown Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Located around Macleod Trail and 7th Avenue S., it was created as the venue for the medal ceremonies at the 1988 Winter Olympics. Alex Pierson (born October 17, 1971 in Hamilton, Ontario) is a Canadian broadcaster. Biography She began working in television in 1995 at CHCH-TV in Hamilton, and later became an employee of CKAL-TV in Calgary. A few years later she returned and began working at CKVR-TV in Barrie, followed by her joining CITY-TV in Toronto. CBRT-DT (channel 9) is a CBC Television station in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The station's studios are located in the Cambrian Wellness Centre, in the University Heights neighbourhood, and its transmitter is located near Old Banff Coach Road/ Highway 563 and 85 Street on the city's southwest side. History CBRT first signed on the air at 6 p.m. on September 1, 1975. Shaw Spotlight (formerly Shaw TV) is the name of locally based community channel services operated by cable TV provider Shaw Communications. The channels are available only to Shaw Cable subscribers and are produced in communities throughout western Canada. Each station runs programming produced by staff and/or volunteers.
