Amanda Ayala
Amanda Ayala (born September 23, 1997) is an American singer from New York who made her first appearance on the national scene on NBC's Emmy Award-winning show ''The Voice.'' Following her time on The Voice she continued her success serving as support for well known artists and through appearances on other television programs such as '' Who Will Rock You''. Amanda's first performance on ''The Voice'' was a rendition of "Mississippi Queen" by Mountain. Three out of the four judges on the panel turned their chairs for Amanda: Pharrell Williams, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine. Ayala chose to join Team Adam where she was mentored by John Fogerty. Amanda also performed a rendition of Edge of Seventeen by Stevie Nicks. Both of Ayala's singles charted on the iTunes Rock Charts. Exposé is an American Latin freestyle vocal group formed in 1984 in Miami, Florida. Primarily consisting of lead vocalists Jeanette Jurado, Ann Curless, and Gioia Bruno, the group achieved much of their success between 1984 and 1993. Sweet Sensation is a female freestyle-dance music trio from The Bronx, New York City. The group is composed of Betty LeBron, Margie Fernandez, Mari Fernandez, and Sheila Vega (who replaced Mari in 1989). The group was formed in 1986 and released albums until 1992. Their song "If Wishes Came True" is their biggest hit, topping the Billboard Hot 100 list for a week in 1990. History Sweet Sensation was originally formed in 1985. Freestyle music, also called Latin freestyle or Latin hip-hop ''( sic)'' is a form of electronic dance music that emerged in the New York metropolitan area and Philadelphia, primarily among Hispanic Americans and Italian Americans in the 1980s. It experienced its greatest popularity from the late 1980s until the early 1990s. A common theme of freestyle lyricism originated as heartbreak in an urban environment typified by New York City. Blackfoot is an American Southern rock band from Jacksonville, Florida, formed in 1969. Though they primarily play with a Southern rock style, they are also known as a hard rock act. The Chance
The Chance is a concert and theater complex located in downtown Poughkeepsie, New York. The complex consists of four rooms: the Chance Theater, which is the primary concert hall; The Loft, a smaller upstairs concert hall; The Platinum Lounge, a downstairs bar/nightclub; and The Nuddy Irishmen, a downstairs cafe/bar. History The theater opened in 1912 under the name the "Carroll Players Playhouse", and in 1928, changed its name to the "Playhouse Theatre". It primarily featured older silent films in its early days. The theater closed in 1945, but reopened once more in 1970 when Larry Plover turned the film stages into a music venue. It was also closed from 1977 through 1980, finally changing its name to The Chance. The theater is owned by Frank Pallett, who purchased the venue in 1994. The Smithereens
The Smithereens are an American rock band from Carteret, New Jersey, United States. The group formed in 1980 with members Pat DiNizio (vocals & guitar), Jim Babjak (guitar & vocals), Mike Mesaros (bass guitar & vocals), and Dennis Diken (drums & percussion). This original lineup continued until 2006, when Mesaros left the band and Severo Jornacion took over on bass guitar until Mesaros' return in 2016. Guster is an American alternative rock band from Boston, Massachusetts, United States. Founding members Adam Gardner, Ryan Miller, and Brian Rosenworcel began practice sessions while attending Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts, and formed the band in 1991. Capitol Theatre (Port Chester, New York)
The Capitol Theatre is a historic theatre located in the village of Port Chester, Westchester County, New York. It was designed by noted theater architect Thomas W. Lamb (1871–1942) and built in 1926. The 1,800-seat facility operates as a concert venue, hosting musicians and occasionally comedians, as owned and operated by NYC-based concert promoter Peter Shapiro.
