AmaZulu Football Club (Simply often known as AmaZulu) is a South African professional soccer club based in the city of Durban in the KwaZulu Natal province, that plays in the Premier Soccer League the first-tier of South African football league system. The club's nickname, ''Usuthu'', is a Zulu war cry. History Early history (1932–1973) One of the oldest clubs in South Africa, AmaZulu was formed by Zulu migrant workers in 1932 and originally named Zulu Royal Conquerors. The club was then introduced to then Zulu king Solomon, who changed the team's name to Zulu Royals, their colours to royal blue and white, and also introduced the shield to their logo. Initially Prince Bayisikili was placed as the team guardian at eMsizini and later replaced by Prince Sithela and the team's headquarter was at the Royal Kraal by then the team colours had changed to bottle green and white. The Moses Mabhida Stadium is a association football, football stadium in Durban in the KwaZulu-Natal province of South Africa, named after Moses Mabhida, a former General Secretary of the South African Communist Party. Siyabonga Eugene Nomvethe (; born 2 December 1977) is a South African former professional soccer player who played as a forward. Nomvethe played in several European leagues. Nomvethe represented the South Africa national team from his debut on 6 May 1999, and he played in the 2002 and 2010 World Cups. He is the highest all-time goal scorer in the PSL. Neil Tovey
Neil Robert Tovey OIS (born 2 July 1962) is a South African football coach and former player and also brother of former footballer Mark Tovey. He was born in Pretoria. He holds the record for most appearances in the National Soccer League. Early career Tovey was born in Pretoria but grew up in Durban. He had been playing soccer since 1969. Craig Rosslee
Craig William Rosslee (born 1 January 1970 in Cape Town) is a former South African association football player and manager. Rosslee enjoyed success as a player with Cape Town Spurs, Hellenic and Santos. He made his league debut for Cape Town Spurs in 1990 and retired in 2004 due to several shoulder injuries. Rosslee was ranked among the better defenders of his time in South Africa but was not capped at international level for South Africa. Wilfred Mugeyi
Wilfred Mugeyi (born 4 July 1969) is a Zimbabwean former footballer whose last job was coach at South African Premier Soccer League club AmaZulu FC. During his playing days he was known as "Silver Fox" for the way he stole un-noticed behind opposition defences. He enjoyed a long and fruitful spell at South African side Bush Bucks, a club he first joined in 1993, and also a decent international career with Zimbabwe.
