Alioune Touré
Alioune Kissima Touré (born 9 September 1978) is a French former professional footballer. He is an attacking midfielder but can play both as a forward or as a winger. Playing career Born in Saint-Denis, Alioune started his career in 1996 with FC Nantes and signed his first professional contract in 1997. During his 7 seasons with the club, he became Ligue 1 winner in 2001 (to which he contributed 15 appearances) and twice a winner of the Coupe de France in 1999 and 2000. Alioune Toure was then transferred to Manchester City with whom he won the Championship gaining promotion to the Premier League. In 2002, he signed with Paris Saint-Germain on a five-year contract where he was finalist of the Coupe de France in 2003 before winning it in 2004. He then played for the Portuguese club União de Leiria between 2005 and 2007 and in Qatar for Dubai CSC in 2008. Back in Europe in 2009, he pursued his career at the Olympiakos Nicosia in Cyprus. Saint-Denis (, ) is a commune in the northern suburbs of Paris, France. It is located from the centre of Paris. Saint-Denis had a population of 112,091 as of 2018. It is a subprefecture (french: sous-préfecture) of the department of Seine-Saint-Denis, being the seat of the arrondissement of Saint-Denis. Saint-Denis is home to the royal necropolis of the Basilica of Saint-Denis and was also the location of the associated abbey. It is also home to France's national football and rugby stadium, the Stade de France, built for the 1998 FIFA World Cup. Coupe De France
The Coupe de France, formerly known as the Coupe Charles Simon, is the premier knockout cup competition in French football organized by the French Football Federation (FFF). It was first held in 1917 and is open to all amateur and professional football clubs in France, including clubs based in the overseas departments and territories. Between 1917 and 1919, the competition was called the Coupe Charles Simon, in tribute of Charles Simon, a French sportsman and the founder of the French Interfederal Committee (the ancestor of the French Football Federation), who died in 1915 while serving in World War I. The final is played at the Stade de France and the winner qualifies for the group stage of the UEFA Europa League and a place in the Trophée des Champions match. A concurrent women's tournament is also held, the Coupe de France Féminine. The English Football League Championship (often referred to as the Championship for short or the Sky Bet Championship for sponsorship purposes) is the highest division of the English Football League (EFL) and second-highest overall in the English football league system, after the Premier League. The Trophée des Champions (, ) is a French association football trophy contested in an annual match between the champions of Ligue 1 and the winners of the Coupe de France. It is equivalent to the super cups found in many other countries.
