Alex Russell (actor)
Alexander Andrew Russell (born 11 December 1987) is an Australian actor and director. He is known for starring in the films ''Chronicle'' (2012) and '' Believe Me'' (2014). Since 2017, Russell has portrayed Jim Street in the CBS crime action-drama series '' S.W.A.T.'' Early life Russell was born in Brisbane and grew up in Rockhampton, Queensland. He is the son of surgeon Dr. Andrew Russell and nurse Frances Russell. He has a younger brother, Dominic, and a younger sister, Georgiana. He finished studies at Rockhampton Grammar School in 2004 and afterward attended the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in Sydney. Career Russell made his debut in the 2010 film ''Wasted on the Young''. In 2011, he appeared in two short films, ''The Best Man'' and ''Halloween Knight''. 2014 Toronto International Film Festival
The 39th annual Toronto International Film Festival, the 39th event in the Toronto International Film Festival series, was held in Canada from 4–14 September 2014. David Dobkin's film '' The Judge'', starring Robert Downey Jr. and Robert Duvall was the opening night film. '' A Little Chaos'', a British period drama directed by Alan Rickman and starring Kate Winslet closed the festival. More films for each section were announced on 12 August, with the line-up completed on 19 August. A total of 393 films were shown, including 143 world premieres. The first Friday was dubbed "Bill Murray Day", as festival organisers dedicated a day to the actor by screening a select number of his films for free. Robert Michael Urich (December 19, 1946 – April 16, 2002) was an American film, television, and stage actor, and television producer. Over the course of his 30-year career, he starred in a record 15 television series. Urich began his career in television in the early 1970s. After guest stints and roles in short-lived television series, he won a co-starring role in the action/crime drama series '' S.W.A.T.'' in 1975.
