Alameda County Fairgrounds
The Alameda County Fairgrounds is a facility located in Pleasanton, California. It is home to the annual Alameda County Fair, held since 1912, as well as numerous trade shows and community events. Located on its grounds, the Pleasanton Fairgrounds Racetrack was built in 1858, making it the oldest horse racing track in the United States. There is a 3,000 seat amphitheater, as well as a 9-hole golf course located within the track's infield. The Alameda County Central Railroad Society has maintained a model train exhibit at the fairgrounds since 1959, which has grown to two layouts in O scale and HO scale. Building J, also known as the Amador Pavilion, is a multi-purpose arena and livestock event facility at the fairgrounds. The Goodguys Rod & Custom Association is the largest association in the U.S. catering to street rods, custom cars and show cars. The Goodguys Association has over 70,000 active members worldwide. Amador Valley is a valley in eastern Alameda County, California and is the location of the cities of Dublin and Pleasanton. Part of Tri-Valley, the valley is bounded by the foothills of the Diablo Range on the north and south, Pleasanton Ridge to the west, and Livermore Valley to the east. Watercourses draining into the Amador Valley include South San Ramon Creek, Tassajara Creek, Arroyo Mocho, Arroyo Valle, and Arroyo Las Positas, as well as runoff from Pleasanton Ridge. Cornerstone Fellowship
Cornerstone Fellowship is a non-denominational, multi-site Christian church serving the East Bay area of San Francisco, US. In 2020 the church had five physical locations in Livermore, Brentwood, Hayward, in Walnut Creek, and Danville, California. Every week, about 10,000 people join one of their services either in person or online. History The Cornerstone Fellowship started in 1992 when Steve Madsen resigned from a church and started his own Bible Study in his house. His first study was the book of Galatians. In the same year, the group organized itself into a church. Cornerstone Fellowship met in a rented hall, going from one, to two, to eventually three services.
