Airtel ( bn, এয়ারটেল) is a Bangladeshi telecommunications company. It was managed by Bharti Airtel Bangladesh until 2016, when Bharti Airtel Bangladesh merged its operations into Robi Axiata Ltd. Following the merger, Airtel Bangladesh remained as a product brand of Robi Axiata. Since then, Robi Axiata is the brand licensing holder for Airtel in Bangladesh. The Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) ( bn, বাংলাদেশ টেলিযোগাযোগ নিয়ন্ত্রণ কমিশন) is an independent commission founded under the Bangladesh Telecommunication Act, 2001 (Act # 18 of 2001).
